Do you worry how much electricity you use. Me and my husband are quite obsessed about it actually. We did not use the AC or Heat at all last month and our bill was down to 60 dollars. It is not 50 degrees in my house and I am so obessed I will not turn on the heat just get a blanket or after I use the oven I leave it open and let some of the heat out. We hang most of our clothes and rarely use the lights. I want it at 40 dollars a month. I don't know that this is possible. Our bill never goes over 100 even when we use the heat but I like it better at 60 I don't want to pay the electric company. I would rather save it for me. What do you do to cut energy and how much is your bill usually?

Last month my electric bill was $33.00. It usually runs between 30-50 dollars per month, just depends on how much we use it. Since it's cold and snowy out now our bill will probably run closer to the $50 range because we have to use some kind of heating tape device thing 24/7 as our gutter above our backdoor will become one big chunk of ice if we don't use it. We've recently switched almost all of our light bulbs in our house to the more energy efficient coil flourscent type, so hopefully that will help bring down the cost some. For us though, our heating bill is what really pinches the pocket. Last year during the winter months, our average gas bill was $240. Yikes! I can't imagine what it'll be like this year.
