No cause has been determined for this crash, but it makes you wonder if the driver fell asleep and then ran off the road. Studies have shown that sleep deprivation while driving is more dangerous then drinking and driving. Have you ever been sleep deprived and got behind the wheel and then prayed that you would make it home without wrecking??

i have been tired and gotten behind the wheel, it's not the smartest thing to do! sometimes i'll pull over to the rest stops, but i don't get much rest b/c i freak out that someone's gonna get me. that really sucks for the 7 passengers in the SUV and their families.

I agree. Rest stops are a little scary, but it's safer than stopping on the side of the road and risking getting side swiped by someone who didn't see you. Thanks for responding.

After driving through Colorado a few weeks ago I can see how someone could lose control around those curves and plunge over the guardrail.
