nature or nurture?

most of the youngsters of today's generation are easily carried away by the people who surround them, ask a naughty guy why he acts that way and he would tell you that his friends are known for being naughty, or a gal who behaves like a saint & she will tell you that she was brought up in a conservative way. true, environment plays a vital role in shaping young's mind. but which is more influential, nature (peers, society) or nurture (family)?

I dont think one is more influential than the other. What I know is that both of them play a big role in shaping the child's behavior. Pshychology wise, the nature part is being developed inside the womb, even before the child is born. The child's future behavior is developing before he/she meets the people around him/her. As the child grows up, the people around him/her help shape his/her behavior.
