What makes you happy?

Personally I love picking vegetables from our garden after watching them grew and saving them from slugs and snails.
I also love finding a bargain on a really nice dress of t shirt.
Finishing a piece of work and getting it in before the deadline.
Getting an email from a certain someone.
Seeing people I haven't seen in months or years.
Relaxing and making things.
What makes you happy?

Yes, I believe happiness is subjective. What makes somebody happy might get somebody else sad. But this discussion gives it another light, to share of your own happiness.
I'm glad I came over this discussion... lol
Anyway, what particularly makes me happy is seeing all the people that is around me happy - my friends, loved ones, acquaintances, neighbors. Like no more hurting, strife and violence, just peace and love.
Well, maybe it's my vision of the new life that will come to those who believe.

It is subjective to each individual person but that's why I don't know what makes people happy just myself, I find it interesting. Though I seem to be agreeing with most people so far, I guess people have similar things that make them happy in the big picture.

Hi chaobreeder.. My kids are my ultimate happiness. No one and nothing makes me happier. They don't have to do anything, just spending time with them and see them makes me happy..
Plus: a feel-good movie, a good book that I found in a thrift shop, when my letter/article is chosen, hanging out with my good friends and bonding with them, hearing "I Love You"..

Yeah I like family bonding too like after the Christmas dinner is finished and everybody sits down in front of the fire and we watch a good movie or have a few drinks and have a good chat. Everyone in my family are 19+ so we don't really get to see each other as much as we used to, do love a good catch up though.

I have a few things that make me very happy. First, I would have to say my hobbies. I love my crafting and sewing. I enjoy the time I can spend making something and being creative with new ideas. I like to make lots of different things and am always searching for new ideas and products to enhance my projects to make them even better.
Second, I have found that cooking makes me happy too. I guess it is another form of creativity. I love learning about food, all the different types of foods and how they work with spices, etc. I like trying new recipes, and eating new foods that I have never eaten before.
Third, I like working. It may sound strange, but working makes me happy. I am a goal oriented kind of person, so being able to work to meet goals and be an active participant is very exciting to me. I like to be productive, and I like to learn.

Hiii,
Whenever i see my mom happy for any reason that's the time i feel that i am the most happiest person in this world because she's the only one who just grew mw up and make me stand over here.
So, that's the pal i have always waiting for..

I probably like the relaxed period after christmas dinner also, finding a really rare manga or comic book makes me happy also, or finding an anime soundtrack for really cheap online like on play.com or somewhere. Or a really nice art book slashed in price.
Recieving unexpected gifts or actually finding buyers for my artwork and making a bit of money from that makes me very happy also.
Being able to sleep in when its cold or snowing outside makes me very happy also.
