What are srt files ? i have downloaded a movie from a forum in srt format but none of my players can play that format. help please

.srt files rocks... for some people .srt file really help to understand the dialog....

Apart from the movies which are not in English,it is irritating for me to watch a movie with srt files as it distracts me from the original course of the movie.i don't really see a real need of srt files anymore as whatever you don't understand,will remain like that only

they are subtitle files like whn hte movie is in french but u want it to play in english.. tht file makes it in english

I have no idea what they are either. I have heard of them but that is about all I can tel you on it.

SRT Files are the text files containing subtitles used by various video playback programs: Supported by DivX,DVD, and another video formats;it includes the time each subtitle should be displayed followed by text of the subtitle.
