My Boss Is Out Of Control

Lets just say that my boss is anything but easy to work with. For one thing she thinks that she is barbie and is always wanting us to talk her up. She wears the lowest cut tops that she can find so her boobs hang out and that is all you see!! There is no way to go above her as she is the one and only boss in our company and the owner thinks she does no wrong. The last few that have tried were gone within days. She comes to work every other day talking about something new that is wrong with her and tells us that she is going to die soon. She wants everyone to feel sorry for her but I find it very difficult to try and tell her that I feel sorry for her and make her think that I actually believe her.
I have had thoughts of getting a new job but I really love what I do and where I work. Everyone else is great to be around and we have a lot of fun whenever she is not there. She expects to be waited on hand and foot and doesn't want to do a single thing for herself. It drives me and the others crazy and we are at our wits in about what to do about it. We don't want to confront her and end up getting fired. It is a very good paying job also which I am afraid that if I did leave I would not be able to find that good of a job since I am still trying to finish school. I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on dealing with a crazy boss so it will be easier to get my job done and get through the day with less drama. Thanks

There is a simple solution to your problem. Your boss may be hard to take, but you are paying her too much attention. Try to remember the good points of your job, and think of nothing else. Ignore your boss as much as possible, and above all don't let anything bother you. Concentrate on doing your job well, and try to see the good points of your boss. She may have some good qualities that you are missing. Think about this rather than always putting her down. You are a very lucky person to have a good job that you like. So many others are loosing their jobs, and will be hard pressed to find another.

Well I can only advice that you focus more on the job at hand and not her at all. Well you are right to say that it's hard to find new jobs these dyas that you really liked. You cannot do anything about your boss that is her and that cannot be changed since you already know how she is at the office and her influence over the owner is. There are things like that everywhere you go. Special people that is employed and liked by the employer. As for me, do what you are instructed to do and be paid accordingly. Professionalism must always be observed no matter how unprofessional your boss would be.
