Would you re-gift a gift? Have you? Is it tacky? Or is it the sign of the times?

hi gem...my sister & husband do. i hate it. i give a gift that i bought with the person in mind. if i want to get rid of something nice i'm up front about it. i tell the person how i got it and that i don't want it, then ask them if they do. BTW one year someone gave me the exact item i gave them the year before. Hmmm.

i think that's proof that some people for sure should not re-gift. they don't have the memory for it.
