Does it truly matter if God exists or not?

I think that the real point of it all is life. We all know life exists. If we're not all living one big dream we can't just mess up our planet and our generations next in line to inherit our problems. I think that, if you will go with this: GOD = LOVE then you don't really have to convert everyone to your religion to feel as though the world is well off. You can connect to people of any belief if you keep one thing in mind. We're all people and we're all for one common thing. So stop wasting time trying to change people's beliefs. They are very personal and I don't think there really is an efficient way to do it. More importantly, the world is in danger. Help people open up their eyes to love and compassion and empathy. We all have a natural desire to be loved and to give love, so it would be much easier to show someone love.

The beauty of most religions is that they encourage the behavior you are suggesting. If you view life and all that it entails as a gift from God they you are less likely to spit in its face. As far as changing peoples beleifs, I have always been turned off by people who approach me and try to get me to think like they do. (This includes people handing out pamphlets in grocery store parking lots, or knocking on my door when I am spending time with my family) The people who have greatest change my beleifs were the ones that did not mean to. They were leading their lives the way they beleived, and I saw the results of their actions and beleifs and was forced to examine my own.

God created the other plants and animals before us. (True if you beleive in evolution or not) So they got the gift first. Before that it depends if you beleive in extraterestrials or not, but other than that, who knows.

Yes. somehow it might be easier to think it that way, but people is not as easy as yourself my friend. Some people need to have something they can hold on too. Something to believe that they are here for some reason, some really good reason than wasting idle time doing whatever thing they feel like doing. and I can assure you that they will not want to hold on or trusting their life to another people or simply a human being. They need some icon some immortal figure that rules and have power beyond human. somehow that will makes them feel secure and piece inside. so that is why religion and believing in God is still needed in this chaotic world, and of course the essence of any religion is actually all about love itself.

Well, hopefully even if someone does have God as their commander and father, that's fine, but of course love is something we can all agree on, so at least there is a way for them to connect with everyone while surviving in this world.

Hello, Sheepie! I don't think that it truly matters. Nobody can prove that God really exists. I do believe in God, but let's imagine that it doesn't exists... Then the life would still be life. We would still have to work, gather money, raise our families. Supposing God exists, we will still have to do the same things. It wouldn't change anything, in my opinion. It is useless to try to change somebody else's beliefs. Let them think what they want. Let them trust in God or not. The problem is that we should also care about our life. Let's not say that God is going to save us all. Let's all work our way. It's so much easier to throw it all to God, isn't it? But no, let's all gather and think on a way to revert this situation. Respectfully, Munhozmib.

Well, if if if god does not exists, then people would have created him, so that would mean he kind of does exist in your minds, and that really is the point. Anything that motivates people to live a life of helping other people and making things right is alright by me! I think religious people really should acknowledge that people can be great and wonderful either way.

To me it matters if God exists or not because I know He exists. If people told me that... say, my mother didn't exist, I would tell them that she did, I wouldn't just sit by and say "well, you're entitled to your own opinion." Because she exists! It's not a matter of opinion! It's the same way for me. I know that God exists just as much as I know my own mother exists. I am not forcing my religion on anyone or trying to convert anyone but that is the truth that I know. So it does matter. To me. If it doesn't matter to you than don't think about it.

Whether he does or not, I think it's best to live with morals and with some kind of understanding of other people, because the most important time is right now.

That is what is supposed to be espoused by every religion we have in here. Unfortunately some people do use this same with hatred which I think should not be done at all. God=Love indeed and I have to agree qith you 100%.

Yes it matters wether we believe in it or not coz that's how we are reacting to every situation. But this doesn't mean that we can't be happy with every situation that we're in. No matter what we believe let's keep in mind that its always Faith and Good Deeds matter in our lives.

Hi Sheepie, you are right ofcouse, but people don't want to love and and live in peace so if no one have religion, they will something else to fight and create was about, as it is its about countries and oil, they will always find something, beccause they don't want peace. Tamara

Yes absolutely correct GOD=LOVE. my vote to that statement... Although i would say that it matters to me to know it in my heart that god exists, cause when you say god=love, then god has to exist. Well I think, it is enough to know that god exists, finding him/ her is an altogether different story which a man shouldn't think about. God has to be there, he has to exist for faith. But you know what God has created us, we are his children. Like a parent, he will give us all the advice he can but like a parent again, he'll let us be responsible for our own life... I hope you are understanding what I'm trying to say... Nice topic, happy mylotting...

Good opinion. Whether the god exists is not a core problem. Life is our religion. Believe the thing you think is important, it's your belief. Acutally, it's similar to realize a dream.

Personally, I believe GOD exist but the form of existent will be different in each individual and religions. In my believe GOD is absolute entity that exist before all life creatures exist. This absolute entity is a form of absolute laws that can't be change, and also this entity do not govern over life being, but effecting how this universe react. This absolute entity, has no personalty,no sense of justice, nor physical form. Since it is in a form of absolute laws, this entity only react to any action. In simple way, I will try to illustrate it: If there is a plus, there should be a minus. And that is the absolute law. If there is a light, there should be a dark. And that is the absolute law. Rain always falling down, never going up. And that is the absolute law. I hope I explain it clear enough. BR

I personally think the best way to go about life is beleiving in whatever you beleive in just for the sake of beleiving in something. What difference does it make if there is a being superior to us or not, lets just make the best of our time on this amazing planet and when each one of our time comes to leave it... not leave it in shambles.

in the title of your topic you said that God exists or not, is that truly matter. For me the answer is yes. If we not believe god is not exists i think we are like an animal. And just like you said GOD=LOVE i agree with you, without love in this world of surface there are no peace, no more friends, no more anything to left.

The reason our world is in danger is because people dont believe in God and what he can do for all of us. All religions dont believe in God. Have you ever thought that the people who are trying to convert are the ones with the love, compassion and empathy. See they get no benifits if they convert non believers, only the non believers get the benifit. If that is not love, compassion and empathy I dont know what is. The real point to all of it isnt just Life it goes beyond life. May God bless you, teach you, and guide you.
