When Will Good Old Festus Be The World Champion?

Well, since Vince is quite fond of big men, it could happen years down the road. Give it time though, since I've read Festus is only 24 years old. We know how little tag teams mean in WWE, so it's just a matter of time until he splits with Jesse. If the Great Khali and Rey Mysterio can be world champion, so could Festus. It would make for some interesting television, that's for sure.

Right now, I can not see Festus as being World Champion for a number of reasons. One reason is that his gimmick is pretty useless. It seems like he is in a coma state until the bell rings, then he goes crazy. Second reason is that he is more in WWE as a comedy act. Third reason is that he has a sidekick. Most World Champions either stick alone or have alliances like Evolution or DX. Fourth reason is that he isn't marketable like The Undertaker or John Cena or Shawn Michaels. The reason that Cena is champion so many times is because he is the #1 seller in shirts and other merchandise and accounts for more than 50% of WWE sales. Fifth reason is that we don't know how good he is at cutting promos because we have never heard him talk. If Festus changes gimmicks and comes back like in a mask or a monster like character, he could be champion but not for a long time.

As Festus is right now, not a chance whatsoever at any individual title. Tag titles with Jesse? Well that's plausible, or perhaps down the road he obtains a new partner, and well, get a couple of big guys like that together, and crazy things could happen, especially if one literally goes crazy like that. If he changes the gimmick in a few years, and is more of a tough than just a retarded tough, well, maybe there will be a place for him in the upper realms after all, but right now, he's probably closer to the bottom of the list of potential title holders.

i doubt if this will happen anytime soon but you can never tell. a lot of strangfer things ahve happened in the wwe. i think the ideal route is for festus and jesse to be tag team champions for a while and it's important that they have a good and long title run. after that they can split ways and we'll see festus joining maybe the king of the ring and win that one eventually. he can then win a minor belt like the intercontinental champion or the us champion. now these wins must be impressive and crowd reaction to him must be off the roofs for him to be considered by wwe creative as a legit contender for the world champion. anyway, i like jesse and festus and i really like both wrestlers to excel and play significant roles in the wwe in the months to come. cheers!!!

I don't think he'd be winning any title aside from probably the Tag Team Titles with Jesse anytime within the next year or so. They've already done the retard gimmick with Eugene and he never won the title. Eugene was more popular with the fans and the closest he ever got was a number one contender's match with Triple H [which he did lose]. Until the people start clamoring for him [and I don't see it changing while he's such a retard-o right now], he won't be champion. Simple as that.
