What Is Your Favorite Brand Of Dish Detergent? Does It have Any More Uses?

I have one specific kind of dish detergent that I use and that is Dawn, I love my Dawn dish detergent, I use to by the original kind now I love the one with bleach.
I also have found that there are many more use for this dish detergent. Have you seen the commercial where Dawn is used for cleaning oil from birds. It is effective in killing fleas, bathe the flea infected pet in Dawn detergent. Use it on very young animals that are not yet old enough or large enough to use flea medication. They say it repel ants. Good for manicures. There's probably other ways to use Dawn too.
Do you have a certain brand of dish detergent you use?
Can you use it for anything else?
Do you know of any more uses for Dawn?

I have been using the Direct Foam Dawn Plus (bleach) and am quite pleased with it - for suds and effectiveness against greese. I thought that the manicure soap was palmolive?
since I started using the bleach variety I no longer use it to wash the dogs. I do not think it would be mild enough. But, I will use it to wash the car :)

I prefer to use Dawn myself. I like that you can use it on animals as it is all natural and doesn't cause harm to the animal. We used Dawn to help control a rather large flea population and it was rather helpful. Of course, dawn is wonderful too just for soaking dishes to remove all the grease and buildup from cooking that can't be removed just by handwashing alone.

I don't have a favorite dish detergent. I never knew about all of the uses for Dawn either. I think I did see the commercial about the oil on animals though. I think I'm going to start using Dawn now.

I also like Dawn the best. It goes farther bwecause it takes less to make longlasting suds and also cuts the grease the best. The other use for Dawn that no one mentioned is cleaning your glasses. The optometrist told me that it is the best thing to clean your glasses, suds them and then rinse well under running water and it's best to set them on the counter and let them air dry. But I usually don't have enough time to do that so I use a tissue to dry them. I also like the fresh scent of the apple blossoms.

I have to admit my favorite is Dawn also. I will use other brands but none stand up to the quality that I find Dawn to have. I think it is one of the best grease cutters and has the longest lasting bubbles. Plus I always find that I can use less of it to get the same job done as the other detergents.

Can't say I have a favorite. I get what is on sale. Or what I have a coupon for. I guess it's more important to save a bit of money. We do use dish detergent in the summer to wash our car. That can be fun for the family.

I use Dawn dish liquid myself and I love it,I wouldnt even think of using anything else.You can also use it for washing your windows it does a wonderful job,just put a couple squirts in a bucket of water and wash your windows you dont even have to dry them unless they are really really dirty.Have a great night.

I don't know the brand it may be dawn, i think but not 100% but it's apple scented and green. It is my favorite. It is cheap and smells really good. I'm not into the citrisy scents so this apple scent is a great smell that isn't lemon or lime and works very well.

I have not heard of Dawn as it is not sold here in the UK, I use Fairy Liquid for my dishes but not on my pets. Hugs.

Ya know i really don't have a favorite type of dish detergent because i guess i've never thought of it as important. I always use the walmart or safeway brand or something because it's cheaper. They both clean the same so i guess it doesn't really matter to me as long as the dishes come out ok.

I use dawn with the bleach in it as well. It also works well for getting grease from motors and stuff if you don't have any hand cleaner...

I normally use what is on sale, because when my husband does dishes, he uses way too much and I am almost always out of dish detergent.. Now I buy the biggest bottle that I can find on sale.. I have heard of Dawn killing fleas and I think that it is great that it can be used to clean the oil off the birds, I have seen that commercial.. I have used Dawn many times, but I like Palmolive also.. I do dishes only with mine, I have other cleaners and don't even think of trying my dish detergent for other things..
