Actually I live 5 minutes away from work so I walk to work every morning. I'm pretty lucky.
Before we moved to this new flat, I used to take the tram to work. It was a 30 minutes ride so I used to read books while going to work. It was pretty fun :P

5 minutes away,it's really very near!So you no need to get up early and catch the bus.Walking to work seems never be late, the speed is under your control.Relate to the tram,do you think it's not so fast as bus?Sometimes I use tram bus I feel it's a little bit slowly.

Yes, I go to work by bus from monday to saturday. There are so many people go to work by bus,and the bus in our city can not overfreight. So everyday i must leave home an hour ahead of schedule to catch the bus.when i knock off, sometimes i wait for the bus for nearly forty minutes. It is very hated.
And in my city, there is no metro.

i work every other day and take the bus where ever i go. because i walk with a quad cane, i can ride for free on the bus as well, so that helps financially. i dont mind taking the bus but sometimes (when it is super cold or raining) it is a pain. we only have one vehicle between us and my hubby works in another city, so he has to drive to work.

Work in another city sound far away. It's necessary to have a car.Do your husband need to get up early and come back later? In fact it's tired when work place is far away from home.So we should learn to relieve ourselves sometimes. What do you do to entertain in the weekend?

Hi There.
I ride the bus when going to work since I find it very convenient at my end when going to work. I am on night shift so it is really really okay. No heavy traffic. In the morning, it would take me 1 hour or so travelling just to get to work but at night, taking the bus, it would just take me 30 minutes since there is no traffic.
When going home, I prefer taking MRT or the train since it is lot more faster and there is no traffic there. Lolzā¦
Cheers

I tend to change depending on the weater. I prefer going by bike as it saves me money and it is good for my health. But during times when it is absolutly pouring i will take the car or use the bus as i would rather waste a bit of money than catching a cold etc and putting me out of work.

When I started working in the downtown area of my city it was almost impossible for me to take my own car to work because its so hard to find a place to park, and the rent for a parking space averages $300 a month. I didnt want to pay that. Luckily mu building is adjacent to a light rail station and a bus that goes right into downtown. So instead of having to deal with traffic or finding a place to park its easier to get into downtown by bus or the light rail system, and only cost 3.60 a day.

Hello,bcote212,as your describe useing a car is really not so convenient some times.Especially somewhere there is no enough parking places.Compare to car bus is more flexible if time is not limited. Also there is another advantage by bus,it's more economical.Do you agree with it?

Nope, my workplace is just a few meters from our house so I can either have a short ride or walk. If I wake up late, I just take a short ride however, if I have plenty of time, I walk. This is sort of my exercise for the day. I walk also going home so traffic is never an issue to me.

It's certainly that the traffic circumstances is very bad in your place.Maybe the street is not wide enough and the vehicle is not well enough.Maybe there are too many vehicles come together in the same time.Anyhow you have find an easier way that fit for you. It's good,my friend, happy everyday!

I usually travel by a local train caled Meerut shuttle.
I board it from Anand Vihar and reach New Delhi in twenty minutes. From there, my office is a ten minute walk fortunately.
Earklier when I was a freelancer and my kid was small, I enjoyedhanging in the jam packed DTC buses, whom I still loved due to their new blaring FM music systems five years ago.
However as of now, I have scanned a metro route that I have to break at Kasmere gate. So now whenever my shuttle fails to reach on time, we take our Metro Smart Cards and head happily to catch the fast Metro.

Before, when I am working, I used to go in the office by bus. Actually I have lots of unforgettable experience while n the bus. I enjoy it everytime I am riding there. I just hate it when it's traffic and there are lots of people riding especially during rush hours. But I most hate when I sometimes ride on buses that are old. Simply because there are cockroaches. It's so yucky that one time I decided to get off the bus in the middle of my way to the office and transfer to much better bus. I can feel those cockroaches on my feet and I hate it because knowing that cockroaches are so dirty! After that incident, everytime I ride a bus, I just make sure that the bus is new and clean.:-)

Hello,eynjel05,it's true that we get a lot of experiences on the bus. It's so bad when meeting rush hours.Everybody is fidgety, and if it's on the way to work people have to worry about being late.Obviously new bus is more popular, because it make people feel more comfortable. Also new bus is less likely to meet an anchor.

I have two options to get to my office. I can either ride by bus or by jeepney. In most cases I ride the jeepney. It is cheaper. The only advantage the bus has is that there are plenty of them on the road. Jeepneys are arriving every ten minutes on the average while buses arrive from time to time on the waiting area beside the road.

Hi bily822,
Since public transportation isn't that good where I live, I have to drive everywhere. It's okay though because I go to an online school and am moving towards working online so I only have to drive to go shopping, to the museum and to church.
Happy MyLotting!

Well,I'm a college student now,and I often go out by bus at weekends. But actually, I'd like to work by bike when I graduate.I think in most of time,it is too crowded to go to work by bus and it's time-consuming to go to work on foot.Yes,I think metro is very convenient and fast, but there is no metro in our city now.Fortunately,we can go by metro when we graduate,Because the metro is under construction and will be finished in about 2 years. That's a good news.

Hi,ayu_puteri,I really can imagine your case.In the morinng for time limit you must ride with your husband. But when going back you no need to in a hurry. In fact 2KM is really not far.Walking is OK and good for health. But it is too heavy and tired if you take your daughter for a long time. When you daughter grow up and can walk herself you will be relieve.
