I know this seems like a dumb discussion because Jordans over 40 but nobody else could do it around his age. Where could he play and at least help without hurting an NBA teams chance at winning?
The Lakers are doing great so why mess with something thats great so thats out of the question. We would not want a team thats too fast as a 40+ year old Jordan could not keep up a running team. I would say the Suns would be his team thats best for him. Now they got at least a good Shooting Guard in Jordan.

Jordan actually retired 3 times in total and won 6 NBA rings with the Chicago Bulls. He is one of the greatest, if not the greatest NBA player in history. I remember when Jordan announced his return in 2001 or 2002 with the Washington Wizards. I don't think Jordan will come back or should come back. He hasn't played in 5 years. He already accomplished everything he wants (NBA rings, Gold Medals). If there was one team that would take Jordan it would be the Oklahoma City Thunder. They are so bad this year and I think a guy with veteran experience can help them greatly.

I do not advise a third comeback as much as I would love to see Jordan play again. There are three teams that would benefit from Michael Jordan. These are the title contenders such as the Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Lakers and the San Antonio Spurs. The Celtics would benefit from Jordan's experience at the championship level. The Big 4 anyone? The Lakers would benefit because Jordan is familiar with Phil Jackson and the triangle offense. He also has the length that Phil Jackson wants. Imagine a Laker team where Jordan is the smallest player. Scary! The San Antonio Spurs have a slow pace and are currently bothered with the injuries that happened to Tony and Manu. although Manu is back, he is frequently injured because of his blitzkrieg style of play. Depth at guard isn't bad. Jordan could also be a part time small forward there. Plus he is also defensively skilled and plays smart ball.

We all saw when he came back and played for a non-playoff contender and that didn't work so I know a championship team would be the best option. The Lakers have such depth I don't think they need anything even though it probably would not hurt to have Jordan with his knowledge of working with Phil Jackson. Even if Jordan didn't do that good I don't think it would effect the Lakers that much so it would not be much of a gamble. I don't think the Spurs would be the best option for Jordan as their already starting to show signs of breaking down due to age. I don't know if he would benefit the Celtics as they got the Big 3 and other player who are not that good but young and learning that Jordan could at least teach. The Celtics don't have the depth that the Lakers do so it would be more of a gamble to take Jordan for the Celtics. I still think the Suns could possibly benefit the most as they got to slow down due to Shaq playing and it would be great for Nash to have Jordan play Shooting Guard so hes not so overwhelmed directing the whole team. The high field goal percentage is also taking care of by Shaq and Stoudemire.
