Have You Disappeared for Awhile on Mylot and Came Back On Finally?

As some of you have noticed that I have actually disappeared for quite a long time since I was catching up with work and everything, didn't have the energy to type when I get back home. But still I think about mylot from time to time and decided to squeeze some time in everyday to get back on track here and see how everyone's doing. I admit that I have been missing the community and people around here.
What about you? Have you disappeared for awhile on here? For what reasons? Why did you come back?

Yes, I went missing in action for over a year before I finally came back this past week (or so). I don't know why, but I completely forgot all about this site. Then, mysteriously, I started receiving MyLot daily digests. I thought it was the "computer muses" telling me to involve myself with this community again. And, so I did! :-) I love this site, so I don't know why I would allow myself to forget to participate!

hmmm...there are truly a multitude of reasons why people leave mylot then. yours is in fact a very unique one. it is the first one ever that i have encountered. for most of us, it is work and family problems or health that makes us unable to do this thing at the computer.
it is difficult to figure in my mind that you just simply slipped doing mylot. how it did happen, you are the only one who can really figure that. because if one does mylotting week in and week out, to forget about doing it all of a sudden for no apparent reason is beyond understanding. a habit is not that easy to forego with, you know.
anyway, it is good that you are back again doing mylot with us here.

The only thing I can think of is that I was contracted to write a book right around the time I stopped mylotting. I was so consumed with that project that I stopped all of the "social activties" I was doing online. Then, when the book was finished, I stated to get back into some of the sites I frequented. For one reason or another, I just forgot all about mylot. It wasn't in my bookmarks because it was just part of my morning coffee chat routine . . . then it wasn't. :-) I'm weird, I know.

Hello!
Yes, I have already disappeared from myLot for a long, long time. Not only once. But I always come back later, with big hopes and willing to earn more than my last time. And I always do. It is great, because it is like a break. When I leave myLot, it happens naturally. Soon, my number of posts starts decreasing and then I start not logging in everyday anymore. Until I become completely inactive. And then, a month or two later, I come back, all of a sudden. I start responding discussions as a freak and earning money.
Respectfully,
Munhozmib.

Yeah I disappeared for almost two years because I was getting bored and I lost all my money (you loose them if you don't log in for a month or two). I came back because I missed discussions with strangers and this virtual world (even though I don't log on too often). Now they have paypal in my country too so that motivated me twice to come back.

Yes I definately have. I've been here about a year. Usually I'll be hardcore on everyday for a month then I'll not even look at the site for two months. I just find sometimes that I really just don't have anything to say. At other times I've got so much going on.
I started here when I was out of work. Right now I'm sick so I have some time off. Usually I work 2 or 3 jobs so I don't have time to go on mylot.

Thanks! I think I'm mostly better now. I just had a really wicked flu. The only thing left is a cough and back pain. I threw out my back with all the coughing I did during the flu.

I don't know about the first time except he ticked some people off who had differences of opinions from him. The next time around I think it was simply that he had been banned previously.

Yes I have disappeared for a year and I returned a few weeks ago. I just lost interest in mylot and had other problems to sort out before I could come back here. I admit that I like having some few extra bucks in my pocket but I did miss some friends here.

I like Mylot and I won't disappear from here suddenly. Last time I didn't show up in Mylot for a week. That's because I had an operation and I had to stay in the hospital. After I was home, I couldn't help posting in Mylot:) I know you are a busy career woman. So when you are back to Mylot, I will be so happy:)
I love China

I have used mylot every day since I started the site there will be days where I will make maybe 1 or 2 posts but I do posts something to make sure I keep my account active I have read of people losing their balance for not being active for a period of time so I make sure to post at least 1 thing every day.

That's too bad! Losing balance? I am lucky that this has not happened to me! I was constantly away for like 6 months or so, but my balance is still there!

ive been away from mylot 3 to 4 months, i think, when a friend arrived from our homecountry and stayed with the same house that im staying. We are also sharing the computer so it is hard for me to go to mylot since its a "one-man" activity to go online.
Then just 3rd week of october, ive got a new pc notebook which give me the chance to do mylotting again. So here i am now!

That's good that you could be around again, I could understand that it's not that convenient when someone is staying over.

I was away for two months but i was able to sneaked in a few discussions and responses. They were no way near my quota. I was brought to another city where there's no computer. Well there is but it's not mine and i rarely use it because it's always occupied. It's been hell. I was like collecting my discussions and typing it on my mobilephone and save it so when time comes that i will be mylotting, all i must do it to type it back again online. I missed my November payout. Now i'm back and mylotting myself away like i've never mylotted before.

Heck yes! They only pay you like, 1 cent per post. I was so ticked off! Then I dedicated myself to making about 50 cents per day. So it's a start.

I became a member three years ago and I've been on and off in that period of time. There were several reasons why I stopped. There was a time that I was trying to make money from mylot so hard that it wasn't fun anymore, if you go over the top with something it's not fun anymore. Also, if you are just writing to make money somehow you aren't as creative anymore as you are pushing yourself to hard. Glad I learned from that experience!
I might add that at that time I was unemployed, had just dropped out of college; it was a short while but I had little money so I did everything I could to get some extra money inbetween solliciting and going to places to sign myself up for work. I am happy to say I am not in that place anymore, I work part time and I go to college part time to get my diploma .
There were also occassions when I was busy in college or with work, or both, or had personal issues why I didn't come online.
I came back because of the wonderfull people I have met here, the fun it gives me to read and respond to their discussions. I like it when I make payout, but it's not my main goal anymore. Luckily, it doesn't have to be anymore aswell!

it is not easy to be coming back to do mylot if one has been away for months or years, for that matter, from doing mylot.
the first time that i was forced by circumstances to leave mylot, it was for some months. after a few days of having been back, i noticed that my energetic self has to be recharged to have as much fire as it used to be.
before i could be fully recharged of that needed firepower, once again i had lost time to be mylotting again. those were the most difficult years of my life that was caught in my mylot years.
when i was away from mylot the second time, i thought that i cannot find anymore time to be coming back. the turn of events in my life was just too much to handle.
however, last december, while i was whiling sometime away at the computer doing some games, the thought of peeking at mylot crossed my mind. i was fresh from the farm then and mylotting will be a complete turnaround from the heavy task that i have been burdened with for so many years.
so here i am now. mylotting will not be as fiery as it used to be but, nonetheless, i am still at it.

i started mylot a year ago..and was not that active also..but recently it suddenly occur to me that i have to work on mylot and atleast participate in 10 discussions per day..there's no particular reason why i stopped using mylot..maybe due to lack of time and i've been focusing with other websites like friendster.. multiply.. and now mostly playing in travians..

Hello wondericequeen,
I disappeared from here almost half a year. I did log in once awhile but only managed to check my notifications. No time to respond or start a new discussion at all. I was busy with my work and when I came back, things have changed again. People whom I knew before, seem no longer active here. I came back because I missed myLot and friends here. I love to read their discussions and I want to hear from them.
