Anything you read up on for Christmas?

In the course of getting reading for Christmas, is there anything you read to get yourself ready? For example: frugal ways to save for Christmas, decorating magazines for Christmas, easy ways to lessen stress - perhaps online, ways to make Christmas more special, how to explain the meaning of Christmas to children... In general, magazines, books, or articles pertaining to anything to do with Christmas.

My ideas are pretty much spur of the moment. When something is not working (like being able to afford a tree), I come up with a compromise. Which, seeing the tree I have, probably isn't to anyone else's liking except my own! LOL Seriously, I have to get a picture posted of my tree. No one would believe it unless they saw it.

My little sister is who gets me ready her joy and excitement at the coming Holidays it is just so joyous to watch and her wanting to make things for people is also inspiring to me to make me want to make things as well. I put up my tree last night and decorated this morning. Just so she will be able to see it tomorrow when she comes. She will be thrilled.

I usually look on line for items that have to do with Christmas, like recipes for cookies or decoratons to make or how they have decorted their homes. I love looking at stories and pictures of things to do with christmas.

I do get issues of magazines that I read...searching for new ideas like stamping etc. I also go on the internet to one of my favorite stamping sites for great ideas!

I read anything that I can find that pertains to Christmas as long as it is in a magazine article, I can't find the time to read any of my bigger books right now.. I do love to do the decorating and cooking and anything else to do with Christmas.. I do watch a lot of the Cooking Channel, they cook up a lot of Holiday menu's and I love to watch HGTV as they have quite a few Christmas decorating ideas also.. But magazine articles are the only thing that I have time to read.. [b]MERRY CHRISTMAS[/]

I am not much of a reader at all. I never have been. I didn't read up on anything for the holiday season.

I am reading a simple book of the First Christmas to my grands every night. All they really understand is that theier Mummy will be here soon for Christmas. So for them - christmas is Mummy. I have not bought any new decorations but have started to make lists and have begun to decorate my home. I always impressed upon my own children that we are celebrating the birth of Jesus. He was born amongst animal droppings and dung. He was born into the filth of the world to bring hope of redemption asnd salvation. Being togehter with family is enough for me. Blessingsw
