We all know times are hard, people are afraid and some employers, at least here in Rhode Island are taking advantage of workers. I read this article yesterday and was very moved. The Peer-Bearing company in Waukegan sold the company to a Swiss company and then shared the 6.6 million dollars with their 230 employees. Employees were given checks based on their time of service. Some may have been higher but one employee received a $35,000 check and indicated he thought the decimal point was in the wrong place. One of the coolest things... the whole family agreed to do this.
