i would like to see more discussions on children and family!

There have been a lot of duplicate posts about George Bush, Harry Potter, education, and other things that I'm interested in. However, most of them never get good discussions going. People here seem to stay away from real discussions and answer the silly ones they can answer with only a few words. There ought to be a minimum number of words required per response before people will get credit. That would help stop the junk and get people to discussing things in more depth.

I think we should discuss where we see our country headed in the future, whether it is good or bad. Is our country falling apart, getting better or staying the same? I think it is getting worse, especially with the people we have running the country but maybe others have a different view.
