So goes Mariah Carey in one of my favorite holiday songs "All I Want For Christmas is You".
So have you ever just wanted someone so bad to be with you in past or present Christmases that you could do away with all the other presents? Or maybe have that person you want and a couple material things on your wishlist?
I know the song is more about someone of the romantic persuasion. In this discussion, you can mention a family member or anyone else.

Yes, my man is not here with me right now so my Christmas wish is him to be here with me in person ? Though we always talk, I just can’t deny the fact that I miss his presence especially in this time of the year and if we are celebrating our monthsary or anniversary… here is a song that I heard in our local radio station:::

When I was a girl, I used to go to my cousin's house during the holidays and they would always play his Christmas songs so I am familiar with this song. I haven't heard any of these songs or any song by Jose Mari Chan for years though.
I hope you still have a wonderful Christmas even with missing your man. I hope you get to see him soon, jesbellaine. Thanks for the response!

Yes, I have experienced that in the past. I believe it was that Christmas that we both realized we wanted to spend our life together. And we have done so now for 20 years.

Right now I am sleepy and don't want to leave the warm house to the nasty cold weather outside to go to work.
But I should not be complaining. I've finally felt like I'm turning around that corner into better things and happier times!

I am away for my husband he working in states and 2 years of Christmas without him.Its difficult for me and the kids..
so If I heard that song..it makes me cry bcoz Christmas is a time love and family bonding..but his away...
for me, I only ask him to come home..

Hello Julia. I am sorry to hear that. I know it's hard to really feel the spirit of Christmas when not all of our loved ones are near. I am sure your husband wishes the family was together too... but I hope you have figured out a way to keep in touch this holiday. With the internet and all, you get to see and talk to each other using the webcam and all..

This is one of my favorite Songs and it just tells what i want to so accurately! Yes, i did, I do want things that way. I do want SOMEONE to lighten me up forever, for always. As a child, i just used to love Last Christmas by WHAM and now i just love All I want for Christmas is YOU.

When my husband and I were still dating, he was on one continent and I on another with just occasional visits. At the time I would have traded any Christmas present to be able to see him;)

That is really sweet, CJay. I wish I was in the Philippines celebrating Christmas with my dad. But my brother is leaving in a week to do that so I'm just going to live that experience through him for now.

Last Christmas, i was with the love of my life but i left behind the most important person in my life. I was happy but i'm also sad. This year, i will make sure not to leave that special person in my life to celebrate Christmas. And i wish the love of my life will celebrate Christmas with us also. For the first time in 4 years I actually get this wish for christmas. My fiance and I will now be spending every other christmas at eachothers houses. Meaning we will always be together on christmas just at his parents one christmas day then mine boxing day. Then it switches up the next year where my parents get us christmas day and his parents get us boxing day. I have waited for this for many years and I'm sooo HAPPY to say it's finally true :D Great song btw.

That is nice, Amanda. Boyfriend and I have been going through this process too the last couple years. We're lucky that his mom lives in the area so we tend to do the half day at our house and then hers... but when it's at his dad's then I tend to stay here and be with my family and then set another time for his mom...
