I am a member on Cafemom, mainly for the work at home directories and just to chat with other moms. Well, I am getting irritated with the less than savory characters I am meeting there. Some are just plain mean to each other when you disagree with them. For instance, there was a discussion on the recent discovery of melamine in some infant formulas, and it was turned into a breastfeeding vs formula feeding debate, by one woman in particular. She continously bashed anyone who used formula, insisting that anyone can breastfeed, and those weren't didn't try hard enough. She is a real know it all, I want to slap her. Anyone else use this site? Have you seen the raging tempers on that site?

Perhaps you could block her? I've heard of the site, but am not a member. I suppose some people enjoy that sort of thing, but I don't see the point of chatting and meeting people if its only going to cause an arguement. Maybe some kind of blocking filter exists so you can chat without the headaches.

I haven't been to the site and that is why. I had thought about joining it and had been sent emails about it. But I've heard on here about the mean people on it. I've heard more than one person say how they will attack anyone who has different opinions then they do. I don't need or want to be around negative people like that.
