I just bought a new cauch...looks nice :))
But I was thinking its way too expensive, and I didnt even buy an expensive one.
But come to think of it it costs two months salary and just thinking that I have to work for two months to pay for one piece of furniture is like
Dont even get me started on the cost of kitchen furniture and appliances.
Why the hack are things so expensive...comparing to the salaries. Its just not understandable.

Everything is a question of demand and supply. Till the people will be willing to pay certain amount of money for something, so the company is profitable and do not need to decrease the price of that stuff.
Also there can be a question of quality and brand name. Sometimes you just pay for the brand name or for the better quality than standard product is.
Also it is the question of competition, if there is no company which could cut the price and offers similar products, there is no reason to decrease the price for established suppliers.
So to sum up, basic economic rules I guess.
I think the price of manufacturing, fixed or variable costs can be important but there is many other factor, some of them I mentioned but I am sure there is lot of others (for example cartel contracts between suppliers and so one...)

My Dear Friend
I totally agree with you .
I think because of increasing population and globalization of market demand has increased many times the supplies that is why cost of everything is rising so fastly .

Yes it does rise fastly. I was just comparing a piece of furniture to the salary. It does sound strange that one have to work for two monts to actually buy one piece of furniture, that just means that on ecauch is more important then a work we do. Silly, isnt it.

Well they are saying that things have gone up because of the gas prices. But they gas prices came down and nothing else seems to be.. So I am feeling like they are stealing from us.
Things need to get better quick.
