my husband woke up late. he rushed to the bathroom to take a bath and then got dressed. then he stopped and said, "i am feeling sick. i will just stay home".
so here i am, in front of my laptop mylotting while my husband is in bed asleep.i have already given him medicine a while ago and will probably cook a meal later. i am staying at home because i have to look after him. he did not ask me to but i feel that i have to make sure he has something to eat. i will stay just until he has eaten his lunch though. i have to go to the office to finish some work.
what about you? do you stay home when your partner is sick?

I am sorry to hear your husband is sick. My husband & I have been battling the cold/sinus bug back and forth. Yes, I have often stayed home with my husband when he is sick. If I cannot stay that day, I will check in at lunch and definately call home often to check up on him. I would want him to do the same for me if I were at home sick. In sickness and in health is what I vowed.
Have a GREAT evening! Hope hubby is better real soon!

I think my fiance'd be lost if I didn't. We don't have a job right now, so we stay home anyway. I take care of him, and make sure he eats and takes his medicine, but we live with his mom and dad, so his mom checks up on him too.. He's spoiled!

I am not working now, but when I was, if my husband was sick I wouldn't take the day off, but I would call and check on him doing the day. I used to live close to home, and I would come home on my lunch break to see how he was doing. I always would leave his medicine out and fix him something to eat if he felt like it.

Yes I have stayed home with my husband when he has been sick. He had a tooth pulled yesterday an some other dental work done so I was home until noon today just to make sure he took his pain medicine. Hope your husband feels better tomorrow! The flu is going around here bad rightnow.

No, but only because my work wouldn't think that was a justifyable abscence. I did take a week's vacation when he broke his leg, to get him to his appointments and just to generally help him from place to place. He had broken it in 6 places, and had two surgeries to go through. Lol, really wasn't planning a March vacation, and could think of a lot more fun ways to spend it! But I love him, so I did it!

Not if i have to go to work... my boss is pretty strict about lates and absences so it will not do us both any good if i stay home. if its a holiday or weekend then i would definitely stay with him. my mom in law lives with us anyway so she can assist him whenever he needs something. i can always check on him thru phone or online.
