Putting the assertion you DON'T agree with in the post title

So lately I've noticed here on mylot that the trend is to start a post with some inflammatory title to hook people in, only to refute it in the introduction as an example of what you don't agree with. Do you think this cheapens and sensationalizes discussions here on mylot, or do you think it's a good thing because it gets more people to participate?

Personally I think it depends on the way a person approaches this Topic, and the type of discussion they are wanting to start as well. If you are being negative towards someone or something this could end up getting your discussion removed so then that is not a Good thing to do. But if you are wanting to make a point is why you did that, and can keep positive on that then it is OK. Problem is too many have been turning negative here towards others and other things as well.

Well I'm all for getting more people to participate. Maybe I'll try it some time. Although, on second thought I would worry that the people who only read the title and not the whole discussion would think that the title was how I really felt about the subject. But I guess some people would do what ever it takes to get a lively discussion going. I say what ever works.
