It is always a big family get together on the X,mas eve. There will be variety of food, more oriental and mixture. Turkey is a must on the menu. I always make 2 types of sushi for all, especially the kids love it.

hahaha!! we don't cook during Christmas. This is my 3rd Christmas in the US and every Christmas time, we are invited by friends in their house, so we just eat there without cooking. I am not sure this coming Christmas if we will still be invited. When I was yet in my country, we usually have preparations during Christmas day. The good thing is all of us in the family are getting together at Christmas.. This is now my 3rd Christmas without my parents, brother and my sister. I am just imagining our reunion every Christmas time.[em]sad[

Hubby and I love Italian food. And it's a good thing that my sister-in-law bought a cookbook of Giada de Laurentiis as her Christmas present for me. That's where the recipe will come from come Christmas day. Last year, I cooked chicken cordon bleu and baked macaroni.

Yes, actually I do all the baking for the holidays and my dad always cook for Christmas. Sometimes we have turkey, sometimes we have BBQ chicken and sometimes we have curried duck for Christmas. This year we are having curried duck for Christmas and for Old years/New year's we are BBQ'ing chicken. Yum yum! I can't say it is so special cause we do it almost every year but since duck is expensive here it is a treat. Sometimes I have duck for my birthday too. We BBQ chicken quite often during the year but we still enjoy doing it for the Old year/New years celebration.

Maybe we'll be cooking the usual stuff like spaghetti, ham and fruit salad. If we have time maybe we'll add a strawberry cheesecake to the menu. Well Christmas has always been like that for our family and maybe adding a new thing or two won't hurt.

I'm going to my fiance's families for dinner so I won't be cooking, but I am going to be baking some desserts. I like to get creative and see what good recipes I can find. I like to make cakes and cookies, and pies too but only if I don't have to make the crust. I'm really bad at making pie crust!

don't worry too much about not being able to make a really good crust that will be overshadowed by our other talents and skills. have a great day!!!

Yes, i will be cooking this Christmas. I am planning to cook our all time favorite asado, this time it will be chicken asado. Then, i will be cooking nilagang beef with pork , shrimps boiled in royal tru orange, grilled fish, like hito or catfish or tilapia, chicken veggie salad and dessert. Probably i would make leche flan or buco pandan salad. The asado is my special recipe and the whole family loves it. I might even make halayang ube and of course there will be some native delicacies, like the rice cake or duman. The task of preparing and cooking of our Noche Buena feast is tiring but i do love doing it for the family. I enjoy looking at them, happy while eating all that i have cooked for them.It is so rewaring knowing that they did enjoy the food.

With Thanksgiving just being over with our family always does an Italian Christmas. We fix our favorite Italian dishes and go to my mom & dads house and have a big dinner. None of us are really crazy about the traditional turkey, dressing etc. So we do fix it for Thaksgiving but Christmas time brings on our favorite Italian dishes. Last year I fixed cheese stuffed manicotti and fried Ice cream. This year I haven't decided yet what my dish will be.
