We in Mumbai were greatly distressed by the killing of innocent people by terrorist and the loss of our very valuable and much loved Taj Hotel which was 150 years old. The terrrorist just started firing indiscriminately on families waiting to board trains to go outstation. Little children orphaned, bleeding and crying for their mother who was dead. They have seen such violence at such a small age, I wonder what effect it will have on their pshyce. We ache for the little Jewish baby who has become an orphan at the age of 2. Wonder why the terrorist do such things. Are they mentally ill, and making the youth of today do things which they would not do least they die. They are all cowards, one and all. May God give them sense to see reason and defer from these awful killings. Im sure you all join me in praying for the souls of the dead and strength of the family members to bear their grief. My salute to all the heroes who laid down their lives so t hat we may live safe, and for those too who came out with triumph.

I just hope our children are safe. Countries that encourage terrorism should be brought down. One of th e terrorist caught has clearly stated that he received training in Pakistan. Its a shame, spreading terror to other countries in the name of religion or politics. May God bless and keep all of us safe.

I share the sentiment of everyone who is shocked, and grieved. The one thing that brought tears to my eyes was the Jewish Child [of the Rabbi parents] who is smiling innocently little knowing that he is orphaned for ever. That such a thing should happen to someone who has visited our country, a guest on our shores, makes me hang my head in shame. Is there not one wee bit of humanity left in those people called terrorists that would stop them opening fire on innocent unconnected people? To what avail is religion or a belief in God if it doesn't give the discretion to choose who to get into war with. And the destruction of the really beautiful monument of Mumbai - The Taj, which one of our finest businessmen has built painstakingly, and lovingly over the years! I only hope and hope to God that our rulers wake up and take action. There is an Eamil doing the rounds informing how irate crowds decide to assemble at the Gateway of India, MUMBAI, and India Gate N.Delhi, in protest of, and as long as some serious action is taken to protect the lives of people, every Wednesday declaring it as the "Day of Shame".
I salute in great respect for those who risked and lost their lives in defence of greater humanity. Their triumph is our only last hope that things would improve for the better.

watching the whole thing on television was really sad and horrifying. My heart goes out to those people who lost their lives. I salute the brave commandos who risked their lives to eliminate the fugitives of this hideous crime.
What pains me more is the fact that we were unprepared for this. I hope that change arrives in India too...

Everyday my heart bleeds when I read the news of terrorism taking such an ugly shape.I wonder what these terrorists have gained by killing innocent people, not sparing kids also. They have come prepared , no doubt, to die. But they never gave a thought that there is a Super Power above all, what justification will they give to Him. Surprisingly all are below 35, its awful!
Let's be united to join and pray for the peace of souls of deceased and may God give strentgh to their family members who are in grief. Kudos to heroes who gave their lives to keep us safe.

Thank you comfort. Terrorism will only end when certain countries stop backing these terrorist to create mayham in countries. One of the caught terrorist clearly is saying they received training in Pakistan. Wonder why it does such things, and to think once it was a part of India.

I agree with everything you stated. I can assure you that the victims of this attack are in my thoughts and prayers as well, in addition to being in the thoughts and prayers of my family members and friends. It also breaks my heart about the destruction of the Taj hotel, in that it was one of the most beautiful monuments and landmarks in the world.

Thanks, I just hope our stupid politicians wake up and see beyond their noses. Our defense forces are badly equipped, and they go galavanting the world at taxpayers expenses.

We can eliminate terrorism only if our stupid politicians see beyond their noses. They are so engrossed in their own merry making, they are bleeding the country dry. Today, sadly not one politician is worth his salt. Each one is worse than the other. What will happen to my beloved country is anybodys guess. Hope this wakes them up.

Yes, yesterday the whole of Mumbai was out outside the Taj at Appollo Bunder , thousands and thousands lighting candles and asking our politicians to quit, and for better equipments for our defense personells. One of the terrorist is caught and is talking in clear language that their training was from Pakistan ISI and terrorist camps in Pak occupied Kashmir. The world should combine together to condem and force them to stop this senseless terrorism. Thank you for your understanding.

I totally agree with you, but what can we as individuals do to safeguard our children on the roads when they come armed with sophisticated weapons and fire indiscriminately. Now, I feel that we are not safe in our houses too, as they can barge into any building and take people hostages, forget the roads. Its high time the politicians sit up and take note. I hate every one of them. Sorry, but its just my emotions coming out. Thanks.

Yes this was a horrible incident and what makes it worse that the authorities were sleeping even though they had received inputs and warnings about an impending attack. This operation was meticulously planned by the terrorists and yet our intelligence department could not understand the portents. You are right when you call these terrorists sick people because only the sick mind can carry out such barbaric acts.Killing innocent people, men women and children is not a part of any religion and such persons who do these diabolic acts are nobody else but the Rakshasas or demons of old who have taken rebirth and are continuing their old habits. Even God cannot save such people and according to the law of Karma they will have to bear the repercussions of their misdeeds in future births.Lets hope that these people who are misguided by whoever made them commit these acts will one day come to their senses and stop doing whatever they are made to do.Let us pray for the souls of all those who lost their lives .RIP.

Thanks veejay for your understanding. Im really upset with these stupid
politicians who can see no further than their noses. I hope to God, such sense will prevail th at will really update our defense systems and better equipments for them too. Yes, they will suffer, but before that, they are making us suffer. Maybe its time, we have a reincarnation of God to save us.
