How to find a website to be spam?

Well,we are always speaking of spam mails and spam websites.Do you know any ways to determine whether a website is spam or not?So many people are complaining of losing money to spam websites.If there is a way to filter them out,then everybody will be benefitted.If you know some ways to find out a spam website ,please describe here.Thanks in advance!

Can you find information about the site on WHOis?Have you checked for the site on the BBB?You can also try googling the site and look for posts by others who have used the site prior. Most people do not mind to share with others if they have had a bad expirence with a certain site.
