well there was a documentary on goth cruises (not sure if its the one i posted or not because i missed the part that named it) but it was held on regular boats so there was people that werent involved in the goth cruise that were there for a regular cruise and the goths bring their famillies along that arent goth to have fun and i know in the doc i think they said it turned out to be like 2,500 non goths and like 150 goths all together

Go on a Goth Cruise?
Hmm... it may seem nice. But aren't Goths a gloomy bunch of people?
Well, if they aren't, they sure give me the impression that they are.
And I cannot imagine being stuck at sea with a bunch of gloomy people all day for a few days!
Going on a holiday means relaxing and being happy. Not being gloomy.

some are and some arent.. i think they may appear like they are because they are so used to being treated like crap by non goth people so why the heck would you be happy to see a how bunch of them around if you have had bad experiences in the past?? a lot of goths seem to be people that havent fitted in anywhere else so they are doing their own thing and found others like that which means some can be shy and guarded..
but im just using examples of people i know that are like that.. i dont know enough of them to really say but i grew up hanging out with the freaks and some of us were shy and some of us were just waiting to be pointed at so it didnt make us want to be overly friendly or happy towards people we didnt know

Hi moonlitmagikchild,
Well, I have never really got the chance to meet any goth where I am.
And I get the impression that they are a bunch of very depressed and gloomy people from television. Even the dictionary defines them as such.
So when you mention goth, I would think gloomy, depress, miserable.
Even the way they dress, all black and white, which is also the color associated commonly with gloom, it is not surprising that I get that impression.
Till I meet one myself, I guess it would be hard to shake off that impression.
Pardon my ignorance my friend.

I like themed parties and such, but first of I live to far away and secondly because I can't swim getting aboard a big boat freaks me out. I know they are said to be save and if they sink swimming won't save you either, but it still freaks me out that I can't because of my bad motor skills and balance impairment. So I guess it still would be a no if it was closer to Holland.

I can imagine that, I should've never watched that movie either! .
It creeped me out, especially because you know it actually happened. True stories seem to get to me more than ones that are made up, even if they are very realistic. The scene that got to me the most is were the elderly couple lies down on the bed with the water pouring in (because they know they can't run and make it to the boats). I don't cry at movies often, but that's one scene where I can never keep dry! .

I can swim! (which is the strange part of my fear!) but large bodies of water terrify me! I have no idea why.

Hey...I thought goths don't like the sunlight. I know I don't, if that cruise was somewhere like the movie 30 Days of Night, maybe I'd go. LMAO. But, I have a phobia of a Titanic episode happening. ;)

OMG... that sounds so cool! I would definitely go on that if I could. hmmm... my mom has always wanted to go on a cruise... *thinking* hehe That would be so cool, I like going to goth events, but I haven't been in a long time now, and since we moved the one friend I went to the club with is 14 hours away and so is the club we went to. Plus, I really have no way to get to that stuff now, but this cruise sounds amazing!
