Will you buy second hand clothes, shoes and personal accessories?

In the Philippines, the trade in second hand clothes, shoes and personal accessories has become brisk in these past two decades or so. The stores selling these merchandise are called "Ukay-Ukay", a Bisaya term whose literal meaning is "Digging Up". It is expected that Ukay-Ukay will become more widespread and will carry more goods in greater variety. Some people consider wearing Ukay-Ukay clothes demeaning. Others consider it a wise deployment of resources, considering quality, durability and price. How about you, what do you think?

Buying and wearing Ukay-ukay items are not merely demeaning at all. I have stuff that I bought from ukay-ukay and I use them, and wear them. There are some things that are good and unique and you can't find and buy them in departments stores or in any other stores. There's is nothing wrong buying from second hand items and other stuff.

We have some stores like that called "The Goodwill" or we have consignment shops, but I do not shop at them unless I am looking for a good costume. They don't really care fashion clothes.
