Who here has travelled across Europe? Or visited another country?

Personally I have traveled across most of western Europe with my family, I have been to Ireland,Northern Ireland (where I currently reside), England,Scotland, France, Germany, Spain, Slovenia, Italy, Holland, Israel, very briefly in Switzerland. Outside of Europe I have been to Canada and North East America along the coast. I think my favorite place to visit so far is Barcelona but perhaps it was because of the company and the lovely accommodation and food which wasn't overly expensive, also quite liked Amsterdam because the food was nice. Where all have you been? Where did you like the best? Where would you like to go?

I live on an island in Europe and I have gone by ferry and by train to mainland Europe. When I was 18 I worked in Finland and then inter railed around Europe. I went to Helsinki, Turku, Stockholm, Narvik, Oslo, Bergen, Copenhagen, Koln, Brussels, Bruges, Ostend, Salzburg, Budapest and Paris. Then when I was 19 I did another trip by ferry and train. My route was London then Munich, Salzburg again, Vienna and Zurich. I have done plenty more trips in Europe.
I have seen quite a bit of Australia considering its size. I have been from Sydney across to Adelaide, down to Melbourne and right up to Cairns and on to Darwin. I traveled slowly and saw small places and wildlife. I have been on both the North Island and the South Island of New Zealand. Again I traveled slowly spending three weeks in Northland to begin with. I have traveled from Mombasa to Nairobi in Kenya and been on safari. I have been on a trip to Mexico, Belize and Guatemala. I have traveled through Malaysia and Sumatra and been to Singapore as well as Hong Kong.
Most of all I have adored visiting tropical islands and I have been to St Lucia, Hawaii, French Polynesia, the Cook Islands, Samoa, the Seychelles and the Maldives. My favorite cities are Sydney, San Francisco, Prague, Budapest, Dubrovnik, Salzburg and Lisbon. There are so many places on my travel wish list and I will visit one of them in January: Cape Town. In 2010 I will hopefully go to Canada. I still dream about going to Cartagena de Indies and walking the Inca Trail in Peru and hope I can go there in the near future.

Cool you have been to a lot of places, I plan to go to Australia in the near future as my aunt and uncle are moving over there to live permanantly in a few years, I was also going to be going to Tanzania for a field trip with my university course but its too expensive this year as the American dollar is too strong so we are going to India instead I think Goa is where we are going. I had to pay £100 deposit this morning it was awful doing that just before christmas.

I haven't been to too many places. But love traveling. I lived in England for 7 months and loved it soo much! I think was my favorite place well besides Amsterdam and Paris but haven't spent much time there. England makes me so happy! I love the food and just the culture! I married an Englishman and we're planning on moving to Europe sometime in the future.
I would love to visit Italy and Austria. My mom's dad is from Austria and would love to go there. I've seen more of England then the US and I'm American.

I like England too however I found Paris vastly over priced especially in tourist areas.
You should try to get to Austria its a lovely country with lots to see, however it pelted down with rain the entire time I was there.):
