as kids we always look forward for Christmas especially if we have been good the whole year through. i would usually make my letters to Santa for the wish list and i would really encircle those that i like best. when i reached 7 years old i was so curious why Santa would ask my dad to bring my gifts for me and eventually i learned from school that Santa doesn't exist anymore. how old were you when you learned of it? who told you about it? did your parents were the ones who shared it with you? please do share.

just keep Santa in your heart for if you become a parent yourself you will start believing that he does exist.

yes, virginia, there is a santa claus! i don't remember ever not believing in santa, yes, to this very day. to many wonderful, unexplainable sometimes, things have happened to be at christmas. we still hang our stockings, and they are filled when we get uo christmas morning. if you think there is no santa, just look at a child's face on christmas morning.
maybe it's time for some that don't believe to read that famous article, and the answer.......yes, virginia there is a santa claus, he lives......

Well i was 9 when i stopped believing that Santa Claus is the one who brings gift to us each Christmas. However I didn't stop believing that Santa Claus doesn't exist because he still does and he exists in each one of us sharing the Christmas Spirit through sincere giving.

I was 13 years old when I found out that Santa Claus is fiction. When I was a kid, I faithfully hang out stockings in my room and eager to go to bed and hoping to see gifts on the following christams morning and puff!my stockings were filled of goodies, so I always look forward to that day that I hang out stockings.
Now that I am old enought to understand the value of gift giving I also played sta.claus to younger kids and fulfill their wishes for a happy christmas. We can be santa claus in many aspects I think that's how this all things should be perceived.

I really don't remember... i think i was around 5 years old maybe...
I stayed up late one night (always hard to fall asleep on christmas lol) but i stayed up and saw my parents put the stuff under the tree and then my brothers were up too i think and i remember one of them catching me spying on our parents lol they still tried to play it off after i told them i knew he wasn't real because i saw them doing it.. lol but they eventually gave in lol and they told me something about him and that he used to be real and now hes just lives on in our hearts.. its about keeping him alive for the little kids.

Hey hey !
I think I believed till I was about 9. Then a cousin of mine told me that he was not real and I should not complain to go home from the xmas party so early . I thought he would miss our house if we were up late . Then my parents talked me back into believing and I did till I was 11 . I even think I wrote him a letter once saying I believe in you hehe

I was probably around 9 years old when a boy in my grade at school told me that there was no Santa Claus. I was just so mad and when I went home that day and my Daddy came home from work I asked him. He told me the same thing he had been telling me the last year when I was curious about Santa Claus was Do you believe there is a Santa Claus and I said I don't know they tell me at school there isn't one. He said as long as you believe there is a Santa Claus then there is one. But, when you quit believing then he won't come to see you anymore. He would never come right out and tell me that there isn't one because it is about children believing in miracles. And my family has had some miracles in our lives. This is a wonderful discussion. Happy Holidays kenchiprincess.

I think I was about 8 or 9 when my friend's older brother told us that Santa wasn't real. My mom never said anything about it until I was 10. But now that I have kids of my own I believe in him once again. It's all in the joy in my children's faces when we see him at the mall or on tv during the Macy's parade. It brings them such joy and happiness. So there is a Santa- you believe in him as a child and you get to be him when you become a parent. I dread the day when my kids stop believing because it will take some of the magic out of Christmas. I love to be Santa!

When we were kids, it's a tradition for us to put our socks in the window. Me and my brother were led to believe that Santa will always put money inside our socks on the Christmas eve. I was so excited. I am 8 years old that time. Then, on the Christmas eve, while I was sleeping, I was awakened by the sound of my door slowly opening. I saw some shadow approaching with our socks hung by the window. I was scared because it might be Santa and I don't know what to say or thought that he might even invite me to North Pole that I cannot say now and my parents will find me. So I just peeked from my blanket and see what is he doing. I realized that time, that all this time, my dad was the one who is always putting money in out socks. He also make sure that it has a lot of candies on it.
I never told my dad that I don't believe in Santa anymore. I still appreciate him doing this stuff just to make us happy :) and for me he will always be the Santa in our lives.

I can't remember exactly how old I was. I want to say around 7 or 8 probably. I think that I just started to figure it out by little clues. Like Santa's hand writing looked a lot like my dads lol. Then I pretended I still believed for my younger sister. Our oldest is 6 and she still believes in Santa. I'm going to let her go as long as I can.

OH, but there is a Santa, Kenchiprincess. There is a Santa in everyone. I am a believer and have always been so. The magic of Christmas is proof. When I wake up on Christmas Morning there are gifts in my stocking and there are a few more gifts under the tree than there were the night before when I went to bed. The cookies, and milk we left for Santa are gone as well as the carrots left for his reindeer. I may all frown up but I am still a believer.

hi kenchiprincess!!
i have learned about that santa never existed in this world who was described of having a house full of elves who creates things we ask from santa and sends them on christmas eve riding on a sleigh with raindeers floating in the air during my elementary days. i don't know what made me believe that. i just couldn't remember any happenings that revealed to me of santa's existence.
happy posting and happy mylotting!

I am not used to believe that there is a real Santa because All I can seen when I was a little kid was A man who dress like what they said Santa,is usually a person I know? During Christmas, kids will be guessing who is that man wearing Santa mascot.. hahahah. Well, sometimes a guy in our neighbor or one of our relatives. All I can see are fake Santa.. so, I never believe that there is a rel Santa that exist.

We just couldn't wait for Christmas day to arrive when we were kids. I remember my parents telling me to go to sleep fast before Santa Claus come and put some ashes in my eyes if I'm not sleep when he get there.
Don't you know that I actually believed that fonny story?..She told me that a chimney appears and then he comes down the chimney.
I was 11 years old when I found out that Santa Claus WAS really my mom, dad, grandma, and aunt.

I'm sure my older sisters are the ones that blew it for me and told me santa wasn't real, but I can't say I remember when I first found out.
I didn't know the school tells kids it's not reaal or did you learn from kids in school?
I remember the excitement of santa coming and I fear my kids will soon find out he is not real and christmas just isn't the same after that. I know they can't believe in him forever but I hope I can make it last for a few more years. The oldest one will be 8 soon, so with you telling me you were 7 I hope he don't find out this year.

i really learned it from school i think we have a program then when one of the pastor's in school told us about it so casually that Santa is mom and dad but we were told that Santa represents the act of giving and sharing what we have during the yuletide season. thanks for the post!!!
