Will you look at the nutrition facts before you buy the food?

Supposed that you are in the supermarket and you are going to buy some foods like snacks, breakfast etc. Will you look at the nutrition facts before you buy them? I don't pay attention to it at all. I care about the brand, taste and whether the packing is attractive for me.

Hi youless,I will sometimes pay attention to it as I need to make sure if the nutrition facts are ok or not.Especially for the bread or toast,I need to see if they're maken from the wheat powder or others. However, most of time I just hunt the good reputation brands or my familiar brands and thus just like you, pick without caring the facts.~~lol~~have a nice weekend~

Well I usually do not bother to read the nutrients information on the product labels. As you know, I am a lazy person, so I will check out the nutrition composition only if I am curious to know about it. I just judge the food base on the nutrition fact that I know. I will avoid seasoned food because they are not good for health. Besides, I seldom buy food which is too sweet or too oily. The best food for us is fresh vegetables and fruits.

Definitely youless, health is the most important asset that we have. Without health, it's meaningless even if you have own the whole world. Health should be taken care since young, because it's already too late when we get older. My parents have always told me that. I didn't realize the importance of their advice when I was in teenage. Now I can understand the message they are conveying to me.

yes, I am in the habit of label reading. I do not want to consume false sugars nor do I want to consume any large quantities of corn syrup. I pay attention to fat content food colorings protein and where the product was produced/packaged. I care little about packaging, unless the packaging is so poor that the quality of the food is affected.

I always look at the nutrition fact and ingredients... because as much as possible... i want to give my daughter food that is rich in vitamins and minerals... i also try to stay away from food that contain monosodium glutamate and tartrazine... because studies show that too much of these two ingredients is not good for the health... and they can even affect the behavior of children...

I dont much go for tinned nutritive supplements for breakfast, unless the doctor particularly insists on having them at the time of illness......At other times I prefer to make our traditional breakfastsand snacks which involve grinding or powdering rice, dal etc....These are supposed to be healthier to consume, and do not contain harmful preservatives either.....

Some times I do read the labels. Most of the times I don't. Cos when I buy something, I usually get the brands and items that I am already familiar with. When I do, it is usually to find out if the newer, cheaper alternative have the same ingredients content as the one I usually buy.

I don't always look at the nutrition facts when I buy the food, because usually I stick with a particular brand. But when I come to a new brand and I want to try it out, then I would take some time to look at the nutrition facts!

i only 'scan' thru' to see if it has animal/vegetable fat, animal/vegetable gelatine, no msg, artificial sugar/sugar substitute ?... i also check to where does the product come from - i prefer locally produced food.. and also if they have the required + necessary certifications.. normally i would go the brands that i am already used to.. and only try a new line of product from the same brands, also... dont really dare to try new products from new / unknown brands.

I'm usually pretty good about reading nutrition labels. I always look at calorie, fat, carbohydrate, sodium and saturated fat content. I think it's important to know what we're putting into our bodies.

I used to my friend when I was at the dieting stage, pre-exercise I was always looking how much saturated fat and calories which were in a product, but now I don't care, I know what is good for me, I have carbs before the gym, so any food loaded with carbs like cereals, potatoes, bread, and then when I return from the gym I eat lots of food loaded with protein, meats, fish, nuts. I think it's mostly common sense, unless you have allergies then you really need to check out the nutrition facts.

I never used to but because of my Immune Systems deficit I have started to. You know that it is good to do so because there are times when the producers will put that certain nutrients are in the product but they really aren't. Sometimes the brands products does not give excellent nutrients.

Hi youless, I am not particular in nutrition facts at all, ive never read at them. When i do buy in the grocery all that i read is the brand name and the expiry date only. Then i put it on the cart if i feel it is good. I tried also other brand to find out which is the best for my taste.

Sometimes I even don't pay attention to the expiry date. As I think the supermarket won't sell the products which are out of the expiry date.
