I just finished up my gift shopping! Yippee!!! This is the earliest I've ever finished it up. I've got the wrapping paper out now and will be wrapping the gifts today to get that out of the way.
Normally, I'd be finishing up this shopping around the week before Christmas or even a few days before. Each year, I'd tell myself that next year I'll get this done earlier. This is the very first time I've ever done it!
So, how far along are you? Is there anyone else who's already finished this part of the holiday preparations? Do you say the same thing each year, that you'll do it earlier next year? Have you ever done it?

I have a few things to get. One son will be here for Christmas and one won't so I have to send out one package. Then there's the little girl my brother and sister in law are trying to adopt, that's another package then one to Florida for my mom and sister. So I have most of mine done but have to do some this week so I can get everything out in time!
Hope you had fun shopping, I love Christmas shopping!

I just finished today. I still have to get stocking stuffers and candy, but that's not a big deal. I have already wrapped some of my son's presents. I like to get this stuff out of the way and done early so I'm not up the night before Xmas wrapping presents like my mom used to do.

During those days that my children was still young I would also have finished shopping and wrapping Christmas gifts.Because I don't want to go on last minute shopping rushes where you can't buy on bargain prices because it is out of stock. But now that I can't go on shopping because my body will not allow me to do so,I ask my youngest daughter to buy gifts for my grandchildren. How I miss those days I'm on my shopping spree for Christmas.

Lucky you, are you available to finish mine for me?? I still have quite a ways to go. I did buy things way back in July during my vacation, and I went out on Black Friday and on my PC on cyber monday. I still have 5 others plus my husband to shop for, he is going to be tough this year. Many of my nieces and nephews are teenagers and they just want money. I hate giving money but I also hate giving them something they really do not like either.

I haven't even started my shopping yet. I don't buy many gifts for Christmas because I'm so busy doing it all year around, but I am gonna do some shopping for my daughter. She really needs some more toys and clothes because she's growing like grass these days.
Do you notice I said "toys" before "clothes."
Yes. she really can't live without toys. She actually loves toys.

Congratulations! I haven't even started and last year, I didn't start until Christmas Eve. The sad part is that I work at the mall. For some reason, on my days off, the last place that I want to be is at the mall and I can't manage to make myself go in early either. Congratulations again.

It's good that you've done your shopping, and you can now take a break. ^_^
Well, I don't celebrate Christmas, so I've never do any gift shopping for Christmas. It seems to be quite fun doing that, I enjoy reading how others are preparing for the Christmas, it's a joy!

Hello mentalward,
That's very good. Congratulations for a job well done. I am not the one doing our gift shopping and so I not bother by it. My wife does the gift shopping this Christmas and it seems she's almost done. She is cutting some on her list because of the economic situation and she will just be giving gifts to close relatives and friends. I don't think she want's to finish earlier because some good stuff still come until the Christmas. She only stop when the holiday season is over and out.
Regards.

I wish i could start up already. I never went shopping yet. There are a lot of things that i need to taking care of.... like my cards for example. I have no idea if this year would be alright to spend some money to buy gifts, which I would like a lot. I been on a tight budget and my family is big and i can't just choose one to give. Im still hung on the air at the moment and congratulation you made it.

Normally I am finished just about the same time as you, so, congratulations! It always feels good to have it complete. This year I decided not to do many gifts - big shift for me as I like to do as much as I can for all my family and friends. But for me, with the uncertainty in the economy, I decided I could "diet" my gift giving. It's an appropriate time. What I'm giving everyone is just an Am Ex gift card. Just something so they know I AM thinking of them, but not so extravagant that we keep on going in the spend direction. Finally, and I think many would agree, Christmas commercialism is our of control. I'll be doing my part to help reel it back in.
