Hey People.
As we all know we can't or should not ask people to visit our discussion by creating a discussion for that. Lol. Its against the mylot guidelines.
All those things can be shared in PM. Do you people ask your friends to view your discussions created???
Of Course there is nothing wrong in doing so. But still I have not done that. The reason may be because I don't like to send PMs. Lol. Its just a long procedure to sent a PM and at times that doesn't get delivered also.
Ok Coming to the topic. Have you ever asked anyone or have anyone else asked you to do so?? Do you consider that message or will just forget it???

We may have so many friends. But its not sure that they will have the same interest as we have. Thats the reason why some of them won't be responding. We will get more responses when we keep on adding friends.
When days go on, we can find some friends whose interests are the same as ours. In that case they will continuously respond us. Lol.
Happy to have your response. Happy mylotting.

Well, i dont know if it is against the rules here but when ever i responded to a discussion that has the same discussion as mine, i do inform that we both have the same discussion and i gave him/her a link so he/she can also comment my discussion if he/she wanted to. But i never ask to anyone of my friends to answer my discussion, I think responding a discuccions should be done in free will.

Ya you are right. We can post something useful only if that discussion matches our interest. There is no use in posting just a line or two. If we are forced to post something then we could do that only. Lol.
Happy to have your response. Happy mylotting.

Ya you are right. If our discussion is good, then we will of course get responses automatically without even promoting them. If we don't get reasonable number of responses, we should try to improve from that.
This way we can give quality discussions in mylot.
Happy to have your response. Happy mylotting.

I like to say that mylot is "fair game" or in other words dont ask others to. Mylot already shows my friends discussions, so the way I see it, they are asking by being my friends. I never have asked, and never will, I didn't even ever think of that good discussion.

Good attitude. I am also the same. I have got some requests like that. But I never do that. And I don't understand the benefit of doing that. When we force someone to do some posts, he/she won't be able to post more than 2 lines. And that doesn't give much benefit to us rather than showing the number of responses. Lol.
Happy to have your response. Happy mylotting.

That wasn't my question. I asked if you promote your discussions to your fellow mylotters in some way.

Ya you are right. When we are actively participating in others discussions they will also do the same to us. In that way both of us can earn. Lol.
Hope you will be active from now on and try to earn more. Lol.
Happy to have your response. Happy mylotting.

I have sent PMs or else emails to some close friends when I have not received their reply and I would like to have their reply. If they say that it is a topic on which they cannot answer I understand that. Similarly I have received PMs and emails from friends on discussions they have started and to which I have not replied. I was happy that they sent me the links because I had somehow not received the notifications. I make it a point to reply when someone sends me the link and do not mind it at all.

Hi vidhya,I never ask others to respond or I dont mind even if my friends dont respond my discussions.I respond to the discussions which only interests me and for which I can give a quality response.Same way I respect others thoughts also, they may or may not be interested in my discussions .So I never request others to go through my discussions.
thanks for sharing.happy mylotting.

You can do that? LOL
No, I haven't asked anyone to read the discussions I've started nor have anyone asked me to read theirs. There was this one time, though, that I suggested to a friend of mine about this certain topic that I thought he might be interested in.

Quite new here which means I have not had the opportunity to build a lot of contacts. I don't think I've even used the PM function yet. And to answer, no, I have not had the opportunity to ask anyone to visit any of my discussions. In the future, perhaps -- so long as there are no rules to violate. Are there any? Hmmm... I'm hoping there are none. I'll check around.

Hi.
I'm not really into posting my own discussions but if I do, I don't tell or ask the people in my friends list to come and check it out. And I don't start a discussion just to ask other members to visit the discussions I've posted. If they see my discussion and they reply to it, I make a courtesy of replying back to them.
And I can't recall anyone asking me to check out their own discussions. But I did receive some PMs concerning the websites they are promoting. If I have the time to be here at Mylot, I usually spend it checking out so many discussions. Sometimes, I spend a lot more time checking them out rather than replying to one of them.

one hundred percent NO...I don't ask people to visit the discussion i have created..It's up to them to visit the discussion i have started. of course i wont make any discussion that is nonsense for this site. I would like to present a nice discussion which everyone can share their thoughts and I feel happy if ever i found out several replies from my discussions.
