I just got a puppy, and I have no idea what to name him. He is a male Golden Retriever, and he is very handsome. Please give me some ideas.

i love naming my pets lol. its hard when you dont know the dog but you said he is handsome and Retrievers are usually very sweet so how about Nova as in Casanova or Apollo after the sun god because they like lying in the sun or... um - Chance - if hes a jumper/climber adventure dog hehe. i hope its been helpful - it will come to you :)

It`s up to the owner and the pet...But you can name it after someone very special for you.Or you can name it after your self...Or name it after some of his habits ...
My little kitty was always touching things before doing anything with them (pipashe gi*bulgarian*) so I named her Toucher (Pipla*bulgarian..again)So this is my advise...you can name it Doggy if you want... :)

I think it's really up to the owner to name their dog as they can observe and judge its disposition the best, thus allowing them to give it the perfect name. I do like Biscuit and Scout though. very cute.^_^
Here are a few, although I warn you now; I have a thing for different/weird names:
Ansel, Caine, Loc, Ardley, Taint, Aiden, Axl (or Axel(, Ryder, Cyril, Kaison, Tyson, Treven, Keko, Ikaika (ee kai'kah), Elvis, Aegis (means protection, backing, or support), Pacino (hehe), Padri, Tyko, Paegan.
Alternatively, you could name him D@mnit.
"D@mnit, get off the couch!"
"D@mnit, stop cr@pping on the carpet!"
Good luck with whatever you decide.
