Well, with 3/4 of the NFL season behind us,it seems again as if half the league is doing pretty much as expected and the rest have been either better or worse then expected. I have my own website and based on my preseason predictions, here are my biggest surprises and disappointments so far in the NFL this season. Take a look and see what you think, and don't be afraid to let me hear what you have to say!
Surprises
1. Tennessee Titans 11-1
2. Miami Dolphins 7-5
3. Atlanta Falcons 8-4
4. Carolina Panthers 9-3
5. New York Giants 11-1
6. Pittsburgh Steelers 9-3
7. Tampa Bay Bucs 9-3
Disappointments
1. Detroit Lions 0-12
2. New Orleans Saints 6-6
3. San Diego Chargers 4-8
4. Philadelphia Eagles 6-5-1
5. Jacksonville Jaguars 4-8
6. Cleveland Browns 4-8
7.(Tie)New England Patriots 7-5 and Dallas Cowboys 8-4
I'll try to come back with a little reasoning on these later, since I wasn't allowed to copy and paste the article I had written today for my subscribers, but for now it's back to work. If you like the NFL and fantasy football in particular, then keep me in mind for next season and sign up for free to get my info for next year.

I can't see how you would leave the Packers out of that disappointment list. Even without Favre they should have been one of the top teams in the NFC.

Just my opinion. I wouldn't have thought they would have been one of the top teams in the league though. I didn't even pick them to win the division. And remember, at the time I wrote this they were only 5-7, which wasn't that bad considering I had predicted them at 7-5 at that point. Disappointing, yes, but I don't think as much as the other teams I had at the time. Now at 5-9 though, they could make my end of the year list, but lets see what happens the next 2 weeks. I did expect them to at least challenge the Bears and the Vikings for the division though, but I wouldn't have thought they would be one of the top teams in the league. Just my opinion though, thanks for your input on this.

I would not have put the Patriots as the biggest disappointment. They looked creaky at the end of last year, so I thought making the playoffs would be tough. Then, Brady going down 8 minutes into the season definitely hurt the team. The fact they are doing as well as they are is rather suprising.
Yes, the Titans are 11-1, but I think the number 1 surprise is the Falcons. They stunk last year. This year they have a rookie QB and a rookie Head Coach. That is normally a recipite for disaster. The fact that they considered the number 2 seed in the NFC is nothng short of amazing.
Oh, and the Cards should be in there somewhere. It looks like they will take the NFC West which no one expected. It was supposed to be Seattle again. Which should be listed as a disappointment. Injuries or no, they just play anemic. Holmgren is on sabbatical already.

I didn't have the Pats as the biggest disappointment, they were tied for no.7. And remember at the beginning of my article I stated these were based on my own preseason predictions as well. Sorry about that confusion but you are right about the Brady thing, but again this article was based on my preseason predictions, which means the Pats were expected to run away with the division again, with perhaps some competition from the Jets. As you stated though, that was with a healthy Tom Brady, and lets not forget RB Laurence Maroney is also out for the season along with a few of their better defensive players. They haven't played bad considering, but again, compared to what they were supposed to be before the season started, 7-5 is definitely not what too many people would have expected.
I could see the Falcons being rated the number one surprise, along with the Titans and Dolphins they are all doing much better than what anyone would have thought coming into the season.Tough call with those 3 teams, but Jeff Fisher,Tony Sparano, and Mike Smith all have done a great job so far.
I wouldn't consider the Cards a surprise as I had picked them to win the division, so to me that isn't a surprise at all. I had also predicted the Seahawks to be 2-10 at this point, which they are, so again, not a disappointment as I figured coming into the year they would stink anyway.
