Do you check to see if you have posted twice to a discussion?

I'm quite certain that you have encountered some discussions here in mylot community which have gained more than three pages of replies, meaning that particular discussion already has generated twenty to thirty responses. Have you ever been curious if you have previously posted to that discussion? And if you're curious enough, do you resort to taking the time to check if you have already given or shared your views and comments?
I'd also like to know if posting twice to one discussion is against the terms and conditions of mylot.

Hi mykmari! I think that you can only get credit for one
posting per discussion. I'm not totally sure, but I'm
pretty sure that it won't change the number on the post if
you have already posted once before. I don't know how mylot
keeps track of these things but they sure seem to. I usually
am pretty good about knowing if I have responded to a discussion
already and if I am not sure I will look through the pages and
make sure before I go to respond. That is usually the best way
to make sure. Since I answer from my emails I delete them when
I finish responding. There are times when I do get duplicate
emails, but I usually remember that I've responded already.

Just like you, I also make it a point to post only once in a particular discussion. But sometimes I do encounter problems with the server or computer, I tend to post same reply twice unintentionally.
And if I'm uncertain whether I have already posted to a particular discussion previously, I also resort to checking every page just to make sure I won't post to it again.

This has also occurred to me not only once, but most of the time, this is due to computer problems or server error. I tend to post my replies twice because of these technical issues which I admit I'm not so knowledgeable of.
Anyway, thanks for the response.

Well, many of us who have been here for quite a while, have actually learned how to prevent this one. If you Rate every single discussion you decide to respond back too, this will prevent you from responding back twice or more to a discussion in here. So that in turn deletes a lot of the double posting back to a discussion in here as well.
As for if you are penalized, no... but your Rating number will not go up and your money amount will not go up either, so that is why I always make sure I rate each discussion to prevent this from happening here as well.

Thanks for opening my eyes, KrauseHome. I've been here for over a year already but it's only now that I've learned from you that through rating each discussion I reply to, I eliminate the possibility of responding to the same discussion twice. This will also save me the time I currently consume to check whether I have already responded to a certain discussion previously.
Although it's quite late, this is definitely a great discovery. Thank you so much.

I find it difficult to check, if I've already responded to a discussion. Suppose, I've replied it earlier and I do not again,I see no harm in that, only thing is I'll not earn anything, if I post a response for the second time.It happens sometimes, however, I have found that if I did post a reply twice, the contents of the both the responses were more or less same.

You're welcome.
I like your profile picture here, by the way. Is that your child?

I get your point. I guess sometimes when we are hurriedly doing stuff, we tend to forget to check whether we have already posted to a particular discussion. Instead, we go on right on posting our reply.
Anyway, thanks for your views.

Hello!
Yes, I have seen discussions with more than 10 pages. There are discussions that really get a lot of responses, from everybody. And, when I do respond to them, I will usually remember it. There is a small chance that I would forget, because I'm responding to a lot of discussions, but I would usually remember the discussions that I have responded to when I see them and their creators.
I do not think it is forbidden to post twice to the same discussion. What is really important is that you do not copy/paste the same response previously given. If it is a different response, why not? And sometimes it happens that you answer a discussion without remembering you had already done so. I believe you will not be punished for such a mistake. You will only lose your post and, therefore, the money you would make from it.
Respectfully,
Munhozmib.

You caught my attention particularly with your avatar, username, and your style of responding. If you are the one on your avatar, I must admit that you look good and I can sense that you're quite a serious person.
Regarding your username, I guess you're an Indian, or a native of India. Sorry I didn't bother to check if I'm correct; but I personally feel that Indians are great in English, either spoken or written. Also, I've noticed that you seem to be writing a letter with the format or style of your reply.
Anyway, thanks for sharing your thoughts. Regards.

Hello!
Thank you! But I am not from India. I am from Brazil. Before the civilized people started ruling over this place, there were lots of natives in here. That's probably the reason of me looking with an Indian, although I don't think I do look like them. I am always trying to write in a good way, keeping the quality of my response and making a esthetically good post.
Respectfully,
Munhozmib.

Oh, sorry. I sincerely meant no offense to you. But when you responded that you're a Brazilian, I instantly remembered of one boxing celebrity who have facial similarities with you; and I do think that he's good looking, too. I just can't recall his full name.

a cetain discussion but now I don't do that anymore.

respond and respond now.

Well after discovering that we aren't penalized for responding twice, I guess it's not such a big issue anymore; just that we don't gain any income from double post. Regards.

Like you, I also encounter some errors with the server or internet connection sometimes and I tend to unintentionally post my reply twice. In these cases, I haven't tried deleting one of them; I just let them be.

I guess you're quite a newbie here in mylot community since you have only posted to about ten discussions, as of this moment. I just like to advise you to be as descriptive as possible in your replies so as to create more quality responses and to gain more earnings as well.
Anyway, thanks for sharing.

hi mykmari!
I dont really have to check every page if i already responded to that discussion. because what I do, before I respond to the discussion, I rate it first. so when I open it again, I'll know that I already responded to that because it is already rated by me.
happy mylotting

Good for you! You have known this system earlier than I did; because I admit that I just discovered this a while ago when one of the respondents informed me regarding this.
Thanks for sharing.

I always remember if I've already posted in a discussion. I guess if, in the future, I ever become doubtful, I'd check my activity on my profile page. But I'd probably already have a general idea of what the outcome would be. It's not hard to remember which topics I've left replies in to be honest.

Yes, i usually check all the pages since sometimes i just forget if i have answered that discussion before or not. it's because i usually read discussion and answer them if i have time or bookmark them- so i get confused if i already answered it or just read it.

That was precisely the situation I found myself into, several years back, when I still wasn't able to make use of the positive & negative signs below the original discussion. I wasted several minutes reading replies just to ascertain if I had already replied to any discussion.
Rating each discussion really helped me & minimized my time consumption for each one.
