i attended one seminar, since it's part of my job, where a person from intel share some insights on the new technology. then he told us some secret of the company. he said that in the research department of intel, they keep their technology 9 years ahead before they launch it on the market. meaning, whatever technology your running on your pc right now was developed 9 years ago, sucks ryt?

i don't know but i guess they can predict the technological trend but not to the point that intel has already had the technology as advance as 9 years? guess this is a bit exaggeration from an intel people.

Yes I knew and believe that. It does suck, but when great discoveries do occur they more than likely rush them rather than sitting on them for 9 years. Such as the dualcore and quadcore processors that are becoming increasingly available. Once they can make a working 16core like Intel plans to do within the next 2 years, they will release it. However, since they are private companies you never do truly know what they keep behind closed doors. I only hope they have computers with a TB of RAM haha.

do you really believe that it is necessary? to have overwhelming number of ram? or a 16core processor? we have to realize that our hardware is just as useful as our software. so if there is no demand for such computing power? it wouldn't be that much of worth, would it?

I dont believe that it is 9 years ahead. What I do believe is that technology is growing Super fast. If you look at a computer now and what was built even 2 years ago there is a big difference. If you used a brand new machine today and then went back to your old one, you'd probably start to complain that it is slow.

No it not just like they said. Only reason is intel is at top at market in electronic chips. As Nvidia is graphics card.
Other companies like asus are also good. I like asus products than intel.
