why are people made fun of ?

A long time ago I reworded that age old saying and it goes like this: Sticks and stones may break my bones but words can actually kill me! I have seen more people broken in spirit by the words that people say. Low self esteem a lot of times stem from people being told they will be no good, they are dumb, stupid, etc. People who don't feel good about themselves sometimes put other people down to make themselves look better. You have to be careful of allowing people to infiltrate your space with their negative words and comments.

I cant say I have never, but not in a mean way such as you are describing, I have been on the other side... being made fun of, or at least I thought I was... and I think my daughter gets it too. I believe that everyone has the right to be who they are... as long as they dont hurt anyone else.. or any animal. some people make fun of me because I adore animals... I raise mice and rats... I had at one time, 4 ferrets, fish, 5 dogs, cats, and a snake.. but, I figure, its none of their buisness.. as long as they are all taken care of. I have also been made fun of because of some of the ways I do things, well, the same people enjoy the outcomes of the things I do, so,,,, I didnt do it like they did. I am straight, but people who are not, are often ridiculed, this is not right either,,, wheither you believe someone is born that way or not, it is no ones place to judge,,, the truth is... people that make fun of other people are just seriously insecure about their own self! so dont let them bother you..
