I like to drink coffee. Almost everyday I will drink coffee because if I do not drink coffee, I will become tired for whole day. Normally, I will drink 2 cups of coffee per day. What about you?

Yes I am also a coffee addict! Well technically it's the caffiene that is in the coffee that you are addicted to. But yeh I can't start my day until I have had my cup of coffee. I will usually have 2-3 cups a day. However when i am at work I drink around 5 cups a day because I don't get much sleep, so I need it to keep me awake! It's actually scientifically proven that you can get withdrawal symptoms from caffiene. I found out the hard way when I did a detox diet for a week, where I wasn't allowed to have coffee/caffiene. After the first day I experienced terrible headaches and was very very tired. I found out later that the reason for it was because I wasn't getting the caffiene that my body is used to. lol

I have a real problem with coffee, especially when I'm working. I go through several cups a day just to stay alert. Sometimes I get so dependent on it that I wake up in the mornings with a headache, and the only way to stop it is to drink a cup of coffee. When it gets too bad, I force myself to go without coffee for a week to give my system a chance to clean itself up.

I think that you can try to drink more tea. I drink tea and tea help me to cure my coffee addiction. Now, I do not depend a lot on coffee anymore.

The trouble with tea is that I really dislike the taste. I'm not that keen on the taste of coffee either, but it's better than tea, at least for me. Of course there are also a lot of energy drinks like Red Bull and suchlike, which could make a good halfway house.

woah! 2 cups a day? Well, for me thats just okay but you said that you're tired if you dont get your daily dose of caffeine fix. Now that may be a problem cause coffee is having an effect on you that might have a bearing your health. Its okay for me to drink one cup a day but lately I only drink coffee when I have the whim to drink coffee. I think it doesnt have any effect on me but sometimes it does. Well, its not healthy to let your body think that it depends on coffee just so it wont shut down or something. Do be careful and take care always.^_^

I don't think you are alone. I used to know somebody who would drink 8-10 cups of strong coffee everyday! If he didn't have enough coffee he simply couldn't get on with the day. I think you're two cups of coffee that you need everyday are ok. How bad is it if you have say one cup only rather than two during the day?

Wow, 8-10cups of coffee everyday. That would be extremely addicted to coffee. I think that it is harmful to health if we drink too much coffee.

I know how that feels! Studying in a university for several years already, I could say coffee has been my faithful partner. It keeps me awake and sharp should there be lessons I need to study and review before any given examinations. Yes, i do believe there is such thing as coffee addiction or other would call it caffein dependency. As what I have heard, one sign of the dependency is the consumption of coffee in large quantities...only to feel its effect- alertness. Should that be true, then I for one is a coffee addict and a ceffein dependent! Best wishes for the two of us!

I drink coffee (mother knows since when..) and there was a point that I get headaches if I missed a mug in the morning. But I got through it thankfully.. I still drink coffee each day but i limit it to one mug. I work at night and it's very helpful.

Don't you worry! It is not addiction with just two cups a day.I used to take three cups of coffee with which I dont feel addiction.Getting tired the whole day without 2 cups of coffee is just a presumption of addiction rather than you feel something missing out of habit.I ask you to believe it to be habitual than addiction.Only 2 cups will not make you alarmingly harm.Relax my friend and go with it.Cheers!

I am addicted to coffee and I think not that much anymore.... unlike before that I drink coffee 5 times aday... and even one cup before bed. and I do it everyday! My friends who aare not coffee lovers find it beyond normal that means abnormal. and to mention that we just arrived from starbucks for a red cup. I do have three friends who are coffee addict and they are more than addicted to coffee than anyone I could think about. They drink coffee every time. You could always see there cup in their table with coffee in it. It is unusual if they're not having coffee.

i also like coffee i heard that coffee contains caffeine and nicotine i don't know how far it is true but if if we is correct we may face health problems in future so i am trying to avoid coffee and minimise the use of coffee in my daily life but it is really difficult for a person like me to live without drinking coffee

Yes, I also average 2 cups of coffee per day. Sometimes I feel refreshed after the second cup, but sometimes I can feel that it is not good for me. Going to the third cup is a big step up for me, and I try my best to resist. Although I can't be sure, I think if I ever go on the third cup in a day, I will be feeling rather sick, perhaps with palpitation, throat irritation, and bitter taste in the mouth. My roommate is worse than you or me. He drinks in 1 shot, 2 pack of 3-in-1 coffee and sometimes that may not be his only cup of coffee. Personally I feel that is bad for health.

I usually drink 1 or 2 if I am at home all day, and sometimes 3 if I am working. Sometimes I need that extra cup in the mid-afternoon at work. But since I'm not working right now, I stick with the 1 or 2 earlier in the day. It really does wake me up and help me think.

Yup, I'm definitely a coffee addict. I have to drink coffee everyday; used to drink 5-6 cups and cut down to strictly 3 now. I think the only time I don't drink is because of a very bad sore throat or high fever.
