i had always read in the movie reviews of Saw and heard from my friends that this series is full of violence and gore. i am a big fan of murder mystery movies or movies about serial killers. but i had watched some scenes from the saw movie, they were a bit too violent for me, yet i had the courage the courage to sit down and watch saw 5 yesterday.
i was totally disgusted by the movie. not because of the violence in the movie, but because i thought that the movie didn't have any plot at all. i found this movie more like for people who 'fantasize' violence. it was more about showing people meeting their brutal deaths, just for the sake of it. i have seen other similarly violent movies, like silence of the lambs, american psycho etc. but atleast they didn't give me the same feeling.
what are your thoughts about this movie? and do you agree or disagree with me?

SAW movies are gruesome.. I've seen all parts of it.. Saw V i saw it in the theatres and there was this one part i couldnt see... i closed my eyes... Anyone ever seen Hostel II ... there is this one part where the girl is hung naked from her legs and another girl slices her body with a sword and drinks her blood... yucks... that is totally yucky..

I am also disgusted by the SAW movies, but more so for a different reason. Gore and no plot are sometimes a bit too much, but the main reason is that well i guess just that. There's no point anymore I think. When my sister and I were little, we liked the Land Before Time movies. But, as time passed we noticed that these movies kept on going. After awhile it seemed sort of ridiculous to us, and we began poking fun at the neverending series of movies. It seems this way for the SAW movies. I could understand if it were a show and had several seasons. But that's totally different. There are just too many movies now and come to think of it I can't even remember which was the last I watched. I grew disinterested after the second one I think.
