Black Ribbon.

Todays "Times of India", has carried a news report, that a group of Muslim Imams have strongly come out against the Mumbai Terrorist attack, and have asked the Muslim community to wear a black ribbon on Bakr-Eid, as a show of solidarity with those killed in the outrage. The report also states that the Imams appealed to all mosques and madarasas to reiterate in this weeks Friday prayer, that Islam forbids the killing of innocent people, and was against any form of terrorism. Well it seems the mood of the entire nation is changing and one good thing this terrorism act has done is, it is making the people of all religions in India, closer. Let us hope for a better future.

Its really good news that they are protesting against terroism.Its good sign of getting the peace and harmony in the nation.And every indian should unite together whatever religion he may belong to,and should vocalize and fight against terroism.And i wish all the nations of the world should unite and fight against terriosm.

Hi, yes it is really good news and every Indian should unite, since my cable TV connection has been cut of today, I do not know the current news, and I sincerly hope that nothing un towards happen today and once again the country turns into a choas.

Hi rameshkumaar, This is very good news indeed, as it is very important that people of all religions come together to condemn these attacks. Islam, as far as I have been able to determine is a religion of peace and terrorists are radicals, and we have them in all faiths. India is a country of many religions and you can do much to show the world that all can work together. Blessings.

Yes, we also hope for the same things, basically there is on issues for the Muslims of India, in fact they are a pampered lot because of their Minority vote bank, as they vote enbloc to any party their leader tells them. The only sour note is the Kashmir problem which was created by the British divide and rule policy. Once Pakistan drops the Kashmir issue, there will be peace in the whole region, and both India and Pakistan will become super powers. But unfortunately that thing will never happen, because some other countries will never allow these two nations to become too big.

hmm...i believe this is a good sign. when people of different religions come closer together, they become more united and the terrorist would find it harder to stir up trouble. after all, the terrorists do all these stuff to create fear and distrust of people towards different religions, so that they can perform their activities more easily.

I sincerly hope that the Indian muslim community continues this kind of things, once, they come out of their shell the terrorists will not get the local support, and even if the local support is there, this is informed to the local police by the others, so that terrorism can be stopped, if not wiped out entirely.
