Ok the other day I was in my efficient mode and put my emails into subject order. I was busy responding to my friends discussions and they were all in alphabetical order so I was responding to one friends many discussions and then moving onto the next. Well I had one friend who had started a fair few discussions and I was spending some time responding to them. I thought I had got to the last one and responded. As some of you know I always start my responses by greeting the author of the discussion but as I clicked on the 'post response' button I realised that it wasn't their discussion!! Ooooops, I did post another response to apologise, I had to, I felt so bad. I simply wasn't paying attention.
Has this ever happened to any of you lot?

(i'm kidding!) Don't take my last sentence seriously(hehehe) I am really kidding. It's just that it's really funny.
Anyway, let's be serious
. It never happened to me yet. But it's not actually a big deal. For sure he will understands it. You're one of the most active member here and for sure he knows you already. But maybe an apology for him is ok. After that, there's nothing to worry about. Good luck to you!

Hey I can give you a negative rating just as easily as you can me! LOL hahaha 
I knew you were joking don't worry. As you can see I am not a very serious person and love to have fun on mylot though I am very serious when the occassion arises. I haven't had a response from the mylotter so I do hope they are not holding a grudge!

It happened to me both when replying to emails and even here in my lot. I have several tabs open and it is not the first time that I reply to another thread instead of the intended one. We are humans we all err.

Yeah once. I was trying to do too many things at once and I had 3-4 mylots opend and somhow wrote something but it was a very general sort of thing and it sort of made sence as a comment to the other discussion so not a big issue. But I did feel bad and wrote my true responce later.

Hey there humbug25, I dont think thats ever happened to me yet, but with my lame spelling and posting skills, don't be surprised if It dose happen, but so far so good, most of my mistakes are related to spelling, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that spelling incorrectly is as bad is it will get lol.

How come you are not using your spell check? I now use it if I think I have spelt something wrong but generally my spelling is not too bad! When I get tired I start to make typos and I forget to use the spell check!

That has never happened to me for the simple reason that I never greet mylot users by their username (apart from you of course!) I just felt like I had to! But it must be really embarrassing when someone notices that you've written someone else's name and they go "Hey! That's not my name!"
At least you apologised. That's really nice of you. Next time I decide to mention a user's name I'll think of this discussion!

Don't feel bad my friend, it is easily done and I am sure the recipient thought nothing of it! There was absolutely no malice in it and it was just a simple mistake, we all do those, remember we are only human, although some thing they are more human than others! I think it's very warm and radiant of you to greet everyone by their Mylot username and it always makes me smile, so from Wolfie thank you, I appreciate you as others here do too!

Yes, it has happened to me. And yes, it was embarrassing. It's because a person's name is something sacred, like if someone mispronounces your name repeatedly, it's a bit disrespectful. I once sent an email for company A to company B! And was really mortified when I realized the mistake.

Your Human! It happens to everyone if they say it never happens to them then they are luck! You learn from your mistakes in life. Now, you know slow down and relax.
