windows media player question

alright heres the thing with my windows media player, when i got the computer it was a good media player, and now it wont let me burn cds or rip songs off of cds that i have bought and put them on my computer and things like that and it seems like its going and going down hill, i don't know what to do with it, and i saw on the internet where you can download a media player but i didn't know if i should or not or if it would be safe to uninstall the one that i have now and then install another one, and i have windows vista, so what kind would i need to download if i did, what would you suggest? i would like to take this time to thank everyone for taking the time out of your day to come by and read and review my discussion and hopefully answering, and trying to help me, and i hope that you all have a great day and night tonight, thanks again for taking the time to stop by.

if possible, try to run your Windows system restore to the day when you think the media player still running well. Maybe it helps.
Vista media Player is awesome. :)

try updating your windows media player to a new version, try it if you can burn now a disk...
sometimes, updating solves the problem...
go to microsoft.com and download the latest media player..

Hey dude i know the answer for your questions..first of all i'm also using windows vista only and the next is that to download a media player update you can download it from anywhere..if you are not believing the websites..you can just log on to microsoft official website and download it and next is that you are not able to burn your discs right? can you please mention more detals about that so that i will be able to reply to your question...? happy mylotting..

first off hte whole media player is stupid
u shud use nero for burning n vlc media player for playin files
if u do wanan use WMP try running a scan n then a defrag

first download the windows updates, there also players like real player, itunes and more. you can have more media players without problems.
