spyware?

i was looking at one of my friends computers and i think that they have spyware and i was trying to get rid of it for her and i have so far used two spyware scans and they both come up with something and with avast it didn't do much for it and now im running avg and i was hoping that it would help, and i was just wondering if its possible to get all of the spyware off of the computer by using one of these things, or what i would have to do to get all of the spyware off of her computer? any ideas? i would like to take this time to thank everyone for taking the time out of your day to come by and read and review my discussion and hopefully answering, and trying to help me, and i hope that you all have a great day and night tonight, thanks again for taking the time to stop by.
