My parents married after 2 months of dating and after falling in love? How about you?

My husband asked me to marry him on the beach at sunset in August,about 3 months after we were dating. I said NO! I told him to wait till January! I thought he was being overly romantic in the moment and too impulsive. We couldn't wait till January and we were engaged in November instead. We were married the following September. So in all, we were engaged 16 months before the wedding. 18 years and goin' strong!

First off.. Good job! I see so rarely these days a relationship lasting so long. And yea wow I can just imagine his heart when you said wait until January. I can just think of so many thoughts and emotions going through his head wow!

My husband and I dated for 2 years and then was engage for 1 year and then get married. I fell in love with him 3 months after we met.

yeah that was pretty quick but the dating and the engagement was kind of long because we really want to make sure we are not making a mistake of marrying each other.

Yea i fully agree with that@! don't get yourself into something that is hard of getting out of. i mean that is like a bond of divinity.

maybe in my past experiences. i became too close first in a person after a year or two. i tend to be a very hard to please person before. my husband and me had been married after two years of getting along with our relationship harmoniuosly. maybe the secret of love is depends on how a person and their partners flatters each other.
