My washing machine is never off. The sound is in my head constantly. I do about four loads of laundry everday. I have four daughters and they are constantly changing clothes, and then there is the school uniforms. My eldest has now got her own home but she has not got her washing machine delivered yet. She has just had a baby and I am doing their laundry also but I am not ironing it. My daughter can do that herself. I used to love ironing but my girls seem to think the fairies do it now and they just throw all their nice pressed clothes on heaps on their floor and bed. I have told them that I am on strike from ironing if they do not stop it. They are nearly all teensgers now and have got worse as they have got older. I have a huge pile of ironing also Anne but it can wait until tomorrow as I am to cold to move. I think I have owned three washhing machines in the last five years as their motors break and it is cheaper just to buy a new one than get it repaired.

Every other weekend or so I bring home my client's wash. I will wash when I start running out of clothes... That can take a couple/three loads to do them. Last week (well, the week before actually) I did clothes, I was trying to wash everything I could find - at one point the only dirty clothes where the bedding and what was on our backs.... No, I don't iron....

Since I do not work, I like to go to the laundry matt during the week. First thing in the morning. That's the best time. If you wait til the weekend when all the working people go, it will be a mad house. I don't iron so I don't worry about that. I just fold everything at the matt.

Yes I have three set days that I do my washing on, I do it on a Wednesday and then Saturday and Sunday. I dont do ironing in bulk, I do it as I need it because it just makes it all so much easier and also I hate ironing!

hi anne... i'd like to say "I" do the laundry everyday, but actually the people at my home do.. my mom / my daughter.. coz i am a working mom... but yeah.. we do our laundry everyday... i have five kidz.. my mom, plus me and my husband - eight people's clothes..we just have to do your laundry everyday, or we'll have a massive pile of dirty clothes.. and doesnt include the towels, bedsheets, etc. i only iron the clothes as when i need to.. but folding, and keeping the clean laundry is another big chore also...

NOpe.. My mother is always the one doing all the washing and ironing of clothes.. hehe ^_^ SHe does not have a particular day for that, and it all depends on how much load she has got to wash.. If it's just one load, she will wait till it's more, before she washes them.. IN a way, it saves electricity and water.. hehe ^_^ As for ironing, she will only iron once a week or once every two weeks.. SO if it happens that we need our clothes, we will have to iron it ourselves.. haha

Usually my day for washing is Friday, like right now I just got through washing and drying a load of clothes. Its only my husband and I so I don't have that much washing to do. I can imagine how much there is to do when you've got children, like my sister theres 6 in their house, and it seems like she's always washing, she said its like she never gets done with it..ha.

Hi , Usually I gather a huge load on sunday mornings . My finace usually will throw in my clothing pile which is small . But sunday is towel day an his clothing day . I cant remember the last time I ironed . There really is no storage in the house and things always get all wrinkled and usually just use that wrinkle spray , and that work wonders well on non dress clothing !

Hi Anne18 Everyday is laundry day for me, just like you and sometimes the machine is on three times in one day, Mondays when I change the beds!! The only times I don't do it is when I am away from my house. I never say when I am on holiday because I am never on holiday!! LOL

I do laundry everyday except for Sunday's. My stepson does his laundry at our house on Sunday's. We have 4 permanent people that live here and he is here every other week. We have 2 under 3 years old and both still in diapers. They are very messy. He works 40 hours a week and has to wear certain clothes for his job so we have to stay caught up on his work clothes. I don't iron, we use Downy Wrinkle Reducer. It works great.

In my house i do the laundry more or less every day i must do about three or four loads a day. With two adults and five children in the house if i didn't do it everyday it would soon build up. Just as i i think that i am getting to the end you can guarantee the kids will tidy their rooms and lots more washing will come down. Some of it never ever reaches the wardrobe as it will get taken upstairs and instead of being put away just chucked on the floor. My daughter is especially bad for doing this.

my wife is the one washing our clothes. but i see a pile aleady for it is raining now for almost 4 or five days. it is not easy to wash clothes when it is raining. i know she is praying for the rain to have a time out so she can wash some clothes and some blankets and pillow cases as well. when the weather is good she washes clothes every other day. when the laundry pile up like this i help her in any way i can.

I do at least a load a day most of the time. If I take a day off I'll have more to do the next day. I don't bother with ironing, and I never seem to have a problem with wrinkles.

When I was a child living with my grandmother, she had one day of the week that laundry was done. You knew better than to plan anything else for that day because the whole day was set aside for that. Now that I'm grown you would think that those habits would have stayed with me. Not so. I do laundry when it has piled up so high that I can't see the washing machine and I have run out of clean things to wear. I keep telling myself I should do better than this but for some reason I never do.
