Are your twins in the same class at school? My girl/boy twins are in different classes. It is the school policy ot put them in different classes, but I would have asked for them to be put in different classrooms. When my twins started school the school was quite excited as they had three sets of twins starting at the same time, it hadn't happened before. There was my set of twins and two sets of girls who were identical. It was quite funy because one set of twins were blond and the other set of twins dark haired. My boy has fair hair and my daufghter has brown hair. When our elder daughter went to school which was in a different town therte were two sets of twins, one set boys and one girls, both identical and the school put them all into one class

My sons are both in James Madison High School. They want to be together no matter what and they are also in sports.

I am a twin and when we were in Elementary school my twin sister and I were placed in the same class. When we went to Middle School we were split it. I think it was better that way as the teacher often compared us in a lot of things and I didn't like that lol

They were in the same class for kindergarten, but they aren't this year for 1st grade. The principal of their school is a twin, so I was lucky enough to be able to choose if I wanted them together for kindergarten. I didn't have the choice for 1st grade, but I still would have chosen seperate classes. They spend too much time together as it is.

I have identical twin grand boys. they are in the 7th grade now. They were in the same class up to the 5th grade, when they got in the 6th grade they separated them. I did not like it but they were satisfied with it and adjusted to it better than I did. Now they can make their own friends individually. At first they were ending up with the same friends.

I don't know what the thinking is on this subject.I think maybe they might feed of one another and pretend to do each others work if identical it might be difficult for the teachers to cope with.It might do the twins good, bringing out their individual personalities and let them flourish on their own.Like I say not really knowing the thinking on this maybe you should ask the school and see what they say.

Good to hear that, i do not have twins i only have a little boy, he means the world to me so if he had another twin brother then i would also request this from the School, i think that the childs happiness comes first in life of parenting and the school should also aggree with me, thanks

For the first few years of my schooling, my sister and I were inseparable. They wanted us to be in different classrooms but we would just cry the whole time we were away from each other. We would even hold on to each others hands when they tried to physically pull us apart. So we were always in the same class until we were in 5th grade. By then we had started realizing our different personalities and such. Now that I think back on it, the whole thing seems pretty funny. But that just goes to show you how blessed and thankful we were to have each other.

It is our school policy too, with our twins one hated it and the other one was in heaven. One liked her space and the other wanted to be right next to her twin all the time! In one way I think it was good as they are only twins, they arent the same person. They need to have space to find themselves and find out who they are.

It does sound fun to have several sets of twins in one grade level. We had four twins in my graduating class from high school. I don't have twins, but it seems odd to me to have a policy concerning keeping them apart. All twins are very different just as all kids are different and I would imagine there is the occassional set of twins that would do better together. I don't know, but it just seems the parents should be in on the decision to me.

you've got twins ??!!! (i've always wanted twins.. ) it's interesting to know that you want to 'split' your twins in different classes - because i think most parents (of twins) dont like to.. because the twins dont want to be separated.. but i do think it is good.. i mean, the people can identify them individually and always seem them together or think of them as one-set.

It will be fun to see twins in the same class.. hehe ^_^ when i was a student, there used to be a pair of twins in my class, and it's quite funny when teachers get them mixed up.. lol =D But i have not seen a class with more than 1 pair of twins, and i think it's gonna be very confusing, because it will make the class seem smaller, due to having students whom look exactly like each other.. lol

Hi there Anne18 I don't have twins but a friend of mine has got twins and they went to school with my eldest. She asked the school to put her sons in different classes to each other and boy what a difference it really made. One of the twins was more domineering than the other and would often speak for his brother so his speach wasn't as good as the other kids his age. He has improved so much. I think there are 2 sets of twins in my son's school now, two girls who are not identical and a boy and girl twin. There maybe more but I haven't seen any, I will ask my son when he finishes school today!

I don't see a problem with twins being in the same class uless the teachers think it would be a distraction to other students. I don't have twins but I have twin cousins, not identical, They were in the same classes in school and there were no problems.
