Okay so i got my phone and it's great but I was trying to send texts and whenI hit a letter it comes up all automatically and I can't turn it off. It's really annoying. I think it's called auto text or something. The manual is as useful as toilet paper to me. Its no help! The phone is a Motorola v265. If anyone knows how to shut this off I'd appreciate it!

try pressing numbers on the desktop on the phone/ its background.. if the numbers are not doubling/pressing by it self, maybe the predictive text is making you annoying.. turning it off might solve your problem

Its no where in the message options or even the regular settings. I don't have a smart phone though. I emailed Motorola about it so I am hoping to get an aswer soon.

if i keeps on typing numbers or letter anywhere, its the keypad flex is the problem.. maybe your keys are stuck so it keeps on pressing, try changing it keypad flex to a new one, lets see whats happen..

May be you can restore to the initial factory settings.
There is no v265 of Moto in country, but if yours is a Smartphone, i mean s60, you can download others text input software as you like. Just have a try!

try pressing the * or the # button while your on your sms editor. try long pressing or just try pressing it more times. or try it the option in the sms editor, not the option in the settings of your phone
