Who do you prefer, Harry Potter or Edward Cullen?

I don't know Edward Cullen so I would say I prefer Harry Potter.

It's pretty hard to compare both characters because they really belongs to two different genres. Even though they are both characters based on books originally written for young adults, that is the only similarity. Harry Potter is more of an adventure, following the life of the young wizard as he battles against the evil Voldermort while growing into manhood and all the challenges that entails. Twilight is a teenage romance between a young girl and a century old vampire who looks seventeen. Even though there is some action in the latter part of the movie, it focuses primarily on the budding relationship between the two. If we are talking of the books, and about the writer's style and not the storyline, my vote is on JK Rowling. I like her writing better, and I feel the Harry Potter series has more depth. Stephanie Meyer's books are more of a light read; it sucks you in pretty fast, but it doesn't necessarily invite a reread. Also, I get impatient when she belabors a point. I really think her books can do some more serious editing. But as to choose between the characters, I don't really want to. I think both characters are fascinating on their own terms.

if we are going on strictly the books not the movies I would have to say I like the twilight series over the harry potter series. If we're going by Movies. I would have to say I would take the harry potter movies over that of twilight which was so not the way it happened in the book.

I prefer vampires really. The only wizard I loved was Harry Potter. Haha! I like Edward Cullen, but there other plenty of vampire characters that I like too. :) Actually, I'd prefer Fred and George Weasley over Harry Potter. Haha!

Harry Potter. I haven't read the Twilight series, so I'm biased. I want to read the series, but I think I'll be true to Harry Potter regardless.

I would choose Edward Cullen, I think Robert Pattinson give justice to the role perfectly. Edward Cullen is gorgeous, mysterious, very protective and very alluring. I greatly love Twilight movie, never mind what other people say about their disappointment. Of course, film adaptation is always different from the book, this is the trend for ages in the world movie industry and it is so impossible to fit in just two hours all the details in the book. Whatever people say I always love the story, it was great, the extraordinary story of a human and a supernatural being is always tickle bones and fantasy, I read the book and I was not disappointed with the movie I think because kristin stewart and tobert pattinson allowed to carry the tender love dialogues smoothly and their lines are so sweet and charming. I will wait for the next series which is New Moon, a chapter where Bella will suffer depression because of Edward's temporarily left her to make her safe from the world of vampires and afterwhich Bella decided to be a vampire also.
