Hi snypvin,
I sued to bake a christmas cake long time ago, but now I won't bake cakes because I know my hubby would want me to bake all the time, I don't want to spoil him, as it is he is spoil. My baking days are over and do you know that there are more male chefs then female chefs in this country?

Mix up your batter and pour into a greased, heavy-bottomed skillet; cover with lid. "Bake" on stove top on medium heat 5 minutes; reduce heat to low and continue cooking 60-65 minutes, or until done.
or if you like
PINEAPPLE UPSIDE DOWN CAKE
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 cups sifted cake flour, OR 1 3/4 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup cold water
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/4 cup butter or margarine
5 slices pineapple
5 maraschino cherries
Cream the 1/2 cup butter; add granulated sugar; beat. Add eggs, one at a time; beat well. Sift flour, baking powder, salt together. Add vanilla to water. Alternately add dry and liquid ingredients; blend until smooth. Grease a heavy 10" skillet (with lid and at least 2" sides); sprinkle with brown sugar; dot with remaining 1/4 cup butter. Arrange pineapple slices in pan; place cherry in center of each slice. Spread cake batter evenly over fruit; cover.
Place over medium heat 5 minutes. Reduce heat to low; bake 50-55 minutes.
Allow to stand covered 5 minutes before turning cake upside down on platter.
Or you can use a crock pot:
Chocolate cake
1 box chocolate cake mix
8 oz sour cream
1 pkg instant chocolate pudding
1 cup chocolate chips
4 eggs
3/4 cup oil
1 cup water
Mix all ingredients together. Pour into lightly greased 5qt crock pot, metal coffee can or Crock Pot Cake Bake pan. Cover. Cook 3-4 hours on high or 6-8 hours on low.
Peanut Chocolate cake
2 c. chocolate cake mix
1/2 c. water
1/3 c. creamy peanut butter
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Combine all ingredients in bowl mixing well. Beat about 2 minutes. Pour batter into greased and floured 2 pound coffee can. Place can in crockpot. Cover top of can with 8 paper towels. Cover crockpot and bake on high 2 to 3 hours

Wow! Congratulations! Why did I say so? Because it's true more often than not there are just a few number of men who bakes cake. It is just easy so to say. But some men find baking cake as a woman thing. So even if others know how to bake they will just leave it all to women. Which is a wrong practice. There's nothing wrong with men baking cake. It can't even lessen their masculinity. In fact, most chefs are men. And I know they find it simple to do it. Personally, I know how to bake different kinds of cake. It's just that I am too lazy to do it. But there are times when I really feel like eating cake so I bake one.

Hello!
I know how to bake a cake... Theorically. I have never really tried it yet, but it doesn't sound hard to do. The recipe explains everything, meaning I should manage to make it with ease. I don't know what could go wrong, but I know that my first try would probably not be a success. Yet, I could get the hang of it on a few tries. Don't feel like trying it, though. Would just be a waste of ingredients, since nobody would want to eat it.
Respectfully,
Munhozmib.
