Do you watch television while eating?

Sometimes i will. But this is not good for health. SO i try seldom watch television while eating.

Yes, I do watch television while eating, I admit this is not a good habit. It tends to make us overeat by forgetting to focus on the food we eat but just on the show. But somehow it kinda relax us all that while eating, we're all watching tv.

if i'm at home, i usually eat while watching tv. It's because i want to hear something when i eat. Most of the time, i have a different time schedule so i eat alone. It's a bit lonely eating alone:) tv keeps me distracted.

AT our home, we used to watch the Televisions mostly in the weekends only, because on those days only my sister and my uncle both are available at home.. During the evening time of Weekends, we used to watch more programmes in the Televisions by sitting in a hall, watching the televisions.. In most of the days, we used to have our dinner in the hall only, by watching the programmes. During week day, since my sister and uncle went to office, i used to go to college, and also in the evening timings we will be busy with our work, we will not concentrate by watching the televisions, and moreover my uncle used to come little bit late in the evening, So, once we have our dinner, we will go to bed, sometime, my sister used to surf internet, or sometime, i may also suft internet.. otherwise, we used to go to bed after dinner.. So, the habit of daily watching the televisions, is not in our family.. And also i will not eat when i surf in internet also.. i will switched off my monitor and go and finish my food, come back and continue my work.. Have a good day.

No! Doing anything while eating doesn't only make me feel fat - it actually does make me fatter! I always look at what I eat, I want to be conscious with what I put in my mouth so that I wouldn't be wondering why in the world did I gain a pound in a few days! :D It's been working really well for me :D the diet I mean. Yes, I do but its more of a compulsion really. My son just cannot have his food without keeping his eyes glued to the TV. You just have to watch him to believe it…he’s just staring, oblivious to the world and in an automated motion, his hand is just picking up the food, putting it in his mouth and his teeth are chewing and then swallowing it. Its so irritating at times, I mean he never gets to really appreciate what he is eating. Wish he paid the same attention to his studies!

If I'm eating alone, I would either watch TV or read a book. However, if I am with my hubby, then it's usually at the dining table, where we would eat and talk at the same time.

I am not dong that. When we are eating, my mom's always see to it that we are concentrating on the food that we are eating so the television should be turned off.Eating while watching television is like not respecting the foos that we are eating-my grandmother told us that always. And there are some TV commercials such as bowl cleaner,those medicines for indigestion that somehow can ruin our apetite while we are eating.But then we have different lifestyle, so if you can manage to eat while watching TV, then,it's your choice.Happy posting!

yes me too! i enjoy watching tv while eating anything, but I can't think what to write while eating and on the internet.

I don't like being on the net when I'm eating, but watching tv is alright. But if I have good company whilst I'm eating then I prefer to have the tv off and talk (not too much ofcourse!).

i also watch tv while eating, because i feel that it's boring if you just eat with nothing else to do. i don't know maybe i was just used to this ever since i was a kid. but i think for kids they should not watch tv while eating because there's a tendency that their concentration will go to the tv not with their food.

Yup! I also eat my food while watching television.. 'Coz i can't eat my food if I'm not in front of the television.. Hehe

Yeah I usually have the television going while Im eating, Its usually the only time I can actually sit down for long enough to watch something.

When we eat, we have to concentrate and enjoy our eating and it is good for our health also. Earlier days, dining hall was the place, all the members join together and enjoying and eating food. But now people are watching TV and eating food is a common scene in most of the houses especially in city. In our village, our house is very big and separate room for TV and dining so it is not possible to watch TV while eating. But now ours is a two room house and there is no way to keep the TV room and dining room separately. So now we do watch and eat food mostly. The sad part is we understand, it is not good for health, then also doing the same.

Ya i will. Because on that time only i will be free so i will watch tv while eating.

our dining room is not far from the living room, so i get to see what's in the television during our meals. but just last night, while having dinner, i only want to enjoy my food, i refrained from watching the tv. what's on the news? it's about massacre killings. will you have an appetite for that?

Sometimes, we watch tv, while we're having our dinner. But most of the time we don't, we just talk about our days whenever we dine... :)

I used watch televison and eat at the same time, but i don't watch much television anymore. I also don't have food or drinks by my computer because I acidently spilt juice on my first computer's keyboard.
