amazing idea and making the calls free ? how ?

using wifi technology through the software by downloading the fringe software on the wifi supported handset and the condition is both of the source and destination should have a wifi supported handset , i have tried and it is true

Well, my husband and I are using skype right now and it's for free. The quality is great too because it's not delayed. A headset and a skype account will do.

Also, wifi is not a compulsion for it, if you have a compatible mobile handset or a computer with Internet connection then you can easily connect and speak to others anywhere on the globe for FREE. The list of mobile handsets that are compatible are available in the download section of their webpage.

Let me just correct it by saying its Fring and not fringe. People might havea problem looking for it on the net. Having said that Fring is an application only and not provider per se so you still need your provider details. For example, I use Onesuite VoIP (Onesuite.com) and I can put my Onesuite details on Fring application that I installed on my wifi mobile phone so I can use Onesuite voip on my mobile phone using its wifi internet connection.

I use Fring too and its great because Fring is apllicable to different OS for mobiles (Windows, Symbian, etc)

Well my dear, I think you have used the technology in a right manner. By using the technology we can do anything in this world. You tried something which helps to you and to wifi users. Great, keep going ahead. I just use yahoo messenger or gtalk or skype for long distance calling.

I think you should also try out this new one called the Our Free Phone as well, details in the profile webpage. It not only available on Wifi, but also on anyother phone which has an Internet connection, all it needs is an Internet connection to connect to others around.

yes there is new technology called VOIP it is defined as voice over internet protocals and make the phone calls free they plug in your browser directly in to your telephone line subnet and make the call really free if you want to make calls to United States you can make it free just vist icall.com and download the client you enjoy free calls to United States of America
